It’s baaack. We’re talking about elections. Nothing drives Them up the wall more than the constant recorded phone calls from the candidates and when They’re upset, I catch the vibes and I’m upset. Not only that but it delays my dinner many times. It’s even worse in primary season because there are so many more candidates to bother you. It’s not enough that you get a canned call from the candidate but you get them from the candidate’s spouse, mother, father, children and milkman, but never the dog who actually knows most about the candidate.
What We get is “Hi, this is Karen Kanidate’s mother. Karen has always been a caring person and always had a clean room…” yadda yadda. Just once, how about “This is Lion Lewis’ father. I’m asking you to elect Lion to the state house and get him out of our house. His mother and I thought we were rid of him when he went to law school but that didn’t work out when he finished second to last in his class and couldn’t get a real job. So let’s get him into the legislature where his future peers also have no clue and don’t or can’t read the laws they’re passing either”.
A pox on the politicians who exempted themselves from the “no call list”. One wonders about politicians who spend forty years worth of salary to get elected for two years.

Politics ~ well you know we are from the City that had Jerry Springer for Mayor! My peep actually stomped for one candidate once upon a time and it was for Hamilton County Coroner. What does that say about my peep?
