What a “holiday”?

To start off, when driving, He hits every red light. The traffic signal sees Him coming and immediately turns yellow then red when He’s there and He has to wait for the whole cycle. He told me that the reason He moved to the country was that there are none of those infernal traffic lights. She, also, is unlucky and it appears mostly around holidays. Since we’re in the country, we’re on well and septic. After only 2 and a half years, one afternoon the pump stopped working and we had no water. It was late afternoon. It was Friday and worse than that-it was Christmas eve and the pump is 400 feet down and has to be professionally done. We passed that hurdle. Yesterday, while the guests were in their cars and on the way, the refrigerator in the garage (containing a lot of the Thanksgiving dinner) went out. The neighbors have a lot of their food and thankfully they had plenty of room. Another hurdle passed. This morning Kaci wasn’t herself. She spit up a little yellow foam and was shivering. Off to the vet. Kaci  got x-rays, a vet’s feel up her poopie-hole, blood work and before any treatment, Kaci was fine and She got a big bill.

All roads lead to

There are no traffic lights going in but a lot going out and He’s driving. It’s time for Her to watch out, Holiday season is coming.

  3. Yep that poopie-hole ~ seems like sometimes we all get stuck in the poopie~hole of frustration.

  4. We have that kind of ‘luck’ too. Glad Kaci is ok. Something similar happened to Foxy when we got him, red poop, a vet visit and a big bill. Damn dogters.

    • The dogtor gave Them an estimate. They said “no” to a bunch of things and whittled the bill down from huge to giant. $46.00 for a shot to stop nausea when Kaci wasn’t nauseous?

  5. Totally understand that gadget in the car that radars ahead to change the green light. Especially annoying if there aren’t even cars waiting!

Glad Kaci is okay…and you got some Thanksgiving dinner.

  6. There’s never a time to rest for me-the leader of the pack.

  7. uh oh what a bad day, I hope you can reanimate the fridge… and for the traffic signals: show them an evil eye or bare your teeth – that’s helpful and if it didn’t work: it looks good on the photo if you have a radar trap in your traffic signals:o) but you got a good news too: Kaci is well

  8. Mom says she can empathise…every holiday season we have the same situation and it started early this year when the spring on dad’s garage door snapped 2 weeks ago.

    We hope Kaci is ok

  10. After that you have some great things coming your way!

  11. Oh dear, what a lot of bad luck!

  12. That yellow stuff is nasty. My dogtor told Them once after I spit that stuff up one morning that maybe I had an empty stomach and to feed me first thing in the morning. REALLY???? Cool. That’s one of the many reasons I love my dogtor. Hope Kaci’s OK. You too. Y’all take good care.

  13. whoa! looks like we missed some stuff here! Glad to hear that you sorted it all out though. What would They do without you Kyla?
