A lot of Christmas cards and gifts are speeding around the world from and for bloggers. He thought that was wonderful and asked me if I wanted to do a gift exchange and to whom I wanted to send Christmas cards. It didn’t take me long to say “no” to both gifts and cards. “Why Kyla, you old grinch, that’s not in the spirit of the holiday”. I had to tell Him I wasn’t finished yet. Instead of spending the money to send stuff internationally to a lot of dogs, why don’t we help one dog very much? Let’s take that money and send it to someone who really needs it. Kaci popped in, “Great idea-let’s send it to my former home, Lovebugs Rescue. They do great work and my adoption fee wasn’t that much (especially to value received) so I don’t know how they make ends meet”. “Done” said He. He’s going to make a donation to Lovebugs Rescue in the name of all of Blogville and hopefully it will make a BIG difference to a dog that doesn’t otherwise stand a chance. This rescue organization isn’t even local but dogs don’t care about peeps’ borders. At various times throughout the year when He feels the Christmas spirit, He sends something to the local no-kill shelter. This one is on top of that. So, to my good buddies out there, you won’t be getting a Christmas card or gift from me this year but it doesn’t mean I don’t love you. We really wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
All the best to you and yours (except the bad guys in your back yard), Love, Kyla, Kaci, Kismet, Kharma (who’s been missing for a while) and our peeps.
Kyla, you are a softie after all, been trying to fool Blogville hey. Thats the bestest gift you could give, and we love you too and Kaci and Kismet and Kharma. You tell Dad thats wonderful, you got one cool Dad!!!

Great idea Kyla….some pups are going to be very happy. SHE sent a Furminator to our local shelter…it was on their wish list and we’ll be sending them some peanut butter and vegemite for their kongs.
XXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy
We old Scottie broads think alike!
That is a really good idea!! You are right when you say we spend a lot of money on cards. It’s better to spend it on those who love us inconditionally!!
I was in contact with them after the post and they were wondering how to pay for the puppy they treated and cured for parvo.
Well thanks to you they will have to wonder less 😉
Such a great gift, lovely thought!
A Merry one to you-your first Christmas.

From what I know, it will go to one pup who needed a lot of help.
Well done, Kyla – a very good idea! Hope Kharma will be back till Christmas :o)
Kharma does what she wants to-she’s female.
A great idea Kyla – we can respect and appreciate that.
Wally & Sammy
Thanks and a Merry one to you both.
Kyla you have the truest spirit of Christmas ~ helping those doggies in need all year long. I think we sometimes forget that we should act kindly all year.

In a few months we have a cactus competition coming up!
Ahora busque esa rana, ya le tengo cariño, no se puede perder.
La rana es libre y forma parte de la naturaleza. Ella viene y va cuando quiere.
That’s cool…good to see you sharing the love!
And they thought this old Scottie curmudgeon didn’t have a heart.
Great idea, Kyla! Kudos to you and your Scottie Dad!! Heather and Mr.K will definitely be sending you all a special holiday greeting!
This is an excellent idea. We are bad at sending things in the mail so we will donate too.
Alyssa, Mr. Fox & Scruffy
Somedoggy will thank you.
You put us all to shame …. well maybe not all of us – maybe just us! We hope that “the one pup” really does have a great Christmas. You’re one helluva gal, Kyla!
It was sent in the name of all of us in Blogville-you were in on the act!
We’re sooooo unworthy, but Thank You!
What a wonderful idea!!! 😀 Lovebugs Rescue will be so happy for a donation during the holidays!! Great job guys!!
We’ll keep everyone posted.
I dropped by from Susie and Sidebite’s bloggie, they said what a wonderful gesture you were doing this Christmas, and I have to agree! They are so lucky you thought of them, and doing this.
Stop by and say hello sometimes
I visited. Are you really certain you want me to stick?
Oh, yeah! I love curmudgeons! Plus, your funny!
Oh, let’s see, I lives south of where your peeps are from ~ San Jose area (Campbell). Right next to the Santa Cruz Mountains. My Ma had a friend who lived on Van Ness in SF, so she used to stay there all the time (right next to Marina Green), oh, she misses spending so much time there…..Anyhu, so glads to meet ya finally, and terrors ~ um, terriers~ do rule!
What a lovely thing to do xx
