House guests

Yesterday, one of Her high school classmates who lives near Placerville, California (gold rush country) came to stay until Friday. For dinner we were joined by another classmate from the San Francisco area so the animals in the house were outnumbered by humans and that hasn’t happened for a long time (we’re counting Kismet, of course).  I was wondering if the camera would work because pictures were taken of the three classmates together and I thought there might be a cracked lens, but it was only dust.  I worry about that every time the camera takes pictures of humans. The visitors are going to two spring training baseball games and they brought Doc and Bob, two Shih Tzus. In honor of the Shuh Tzus, I was hoping for Chinese for dinner but got Italian and I got none of it because of my low-fat diet. That diet is getting b-o-r-i-n-g for a gourmande like me.  I know Doc and Bob but it is Kaci’s first encounter with them. Everything is fine-Kaci and the visitors get along great. More details later.

  1. I agree I think the same about the camera thingy :o) Do you like it to get doggie-visitors? I can send you the easterbunny after monday – I’ve found a great recipe named lièvre à la royale – think that’s adequate for a gourmande :o)

  2. Oh house guests…we don’t mind a short visit from our cousins Ella and Ben but any thing longer than a couple of hours starts to cramp our style.

Well done Kaci for playing nicely.

  3. Glad you guys got along, Kaci seems to be getting well adjusted to your way of life.

  5. It’s fun to have house guests and you’re lucky you got the human kind and the doggie kind. We had my mother for the past month. The animals are sad she left today because she won’t be dropping anything wonderful on the floor. Have fun!!!

    • I don’t get anything dropped on the floor that isn’t “Them approved”. It’s the low fat thing for pancreatitus. This low fat thingy is getting to me. Low fat=Less taste.

      • 😦 Poor Kyla. They just want you around and healthy and so do I. Maybe, by some stroke of luck, you will get used to the fatless food. Emphasis on the maybe.

  6. We had people over yesterday and we were pretty good….until the man got up suddenly and scared Roxy who barked.

Low fat…..don’t say that around here, please.

    XXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy

  8. Oh Kyla we just caught up with your news of your illness and not feeling so good…we hope you are feeling better soon! XOXO

  9. Definitely feel for you about the diet. The Help has just ‘fallen of the wagon’ of a low fat, no sugar, low carb diet which she was on for about six months. She’ll clamber back on the wagon again but not until after Easter 😉
Your two shih-tzu guests have just the same expression as Prissy Paws!

  10. I’m sending the peeps to pick up MY low fat treats tomorrow and They’re getting YOU some, too!! YIPPPPPPPEEEEEEEEEEE!
