For Downunder Daisy

In August, we had a rattlesnake visitor and reported on its removal.

Our friend, Downunder Daisy was eagle-eyed enough (she’s a Scottie after all) to spot that it was the Daisy Mountain Fire Department who did it. She wondered if there were a Daisy Mountain. Yes, Daisy, there IS a Daisy Mountain and I’ve waited until Daisy season to show you.

First, there’s a wildflower called Cowpen’s Daisy. Here’s a plant in our back yard that we keep because Kenzie loved it and watered it constantly with his leg lifts. We call it the Kenzie Pissing Bush.

Here’s what hillsides and mountains look like in Daisy season

  10. You guys relax this weekend. I’m giving you permission. 🙂

  11. The one think I like about hikes in here is that no snakes will ever show, I don’t people in here have ever seen a snake.
I remember first time I went to the country and saw people chopping wood, picking up the logs barehand, removing leaves like they were making their beds, I asked if they weren’t afraid of a snake being there, then they explained that the only thing they have to worry about are bees.
The nastiest person I’ve ever met is named Daisy, worse than a rattle snake.
    Have a nice weekend.
    xx
