In August, we had a rattlesnake visitor and reported on its removal.
Our friend, Downunder Daisy was eagle-eyed enough (she’s a Scottie after all) to spot that it was the Daisy Mountain Fire Department who did it. She wondered if there were a Daisy Mountain. Yes, Daisy, there IS a Daisy Mountain and I’ve waited until Daisy season to show you.
First, there’s a wildflower called Cowpen’s Daisy. Here’s a plant in our back yard that we keep because Kenzie loved it and watered it constantly with his leg lifts. We call it the Kenzie Pissing Bush.
Here’s what hillsides and mountains look like in Daisy season
And here’s Daisy Mountain
you’ll love Downunder Daisy
Oh wow Daisy season, so pretty, Love Kenzie had his own peeing bush, that’s super cool 🙂 xx00xx Hope your on the mend Kyla and enjoying a couple of your fat free treats 🙂
Mollie and Alfie
I love the treats but I just don’t get much at one time. Yup, Kenzie loved that bush so much he just pissed on it.
Boy, Daisy does have very sharp eyes, cause Dad just said, were does it say that, blind dumbie. Ohhhh, his very own pissing bush, how sweet was that!
The Mad Scots
Those humans have bad sensory organs. Where would they be without us?
How wonderful seeing them bloom. Daisy Mountain sounds like a magical place like Brigadoon that only comes out at a certain time.
Sweet William The Scot
It’s gotta be magical if it’s named after a Scottie!
My neighborhood gets a lot of rattlers. I pray I never find one at my house. I would worry about my pups. Love the daisy’s.
You’re in the SW also?
Nope. Texas.
Well, I do love Daisy’s!! All kinds, and especially the ‘down under’ kinds!! hehehe
I gots to get me a pissin’ bush!
Kisses,
Ruby
Gotta be a small bush so you can squat over it.
Thank you. We love Daisies! Everything looks just beautiful. A whole mountain named after me..who’d a thought.
XXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy
We hope that Rattlesnake is FAR AWAY and told his friends and relos not to go near your house.
Didn’t you decree YOUR mountain to be a rattler-free zone?
What a pawsome gift for Daisy…a whole mountain of her very own…Sweet!
Sorry that we don’t have a Gizmo Gulch around here.
Awesome Daisies and mountain! I do like the name of the bush too!
Alyssa, Mr. Fox & Scruffy
Every time we see the bush we can’t help but remember Kenzie.
What a pawsome mountain – mom loves daisies. *BOL* we like Kenzies bush.
Have a grreat weekend Kyla & Kaci
Wally & Sammy
You guys relax this weekend. I’m giving you permission. 🙂
The one think I like about hikes in here is that no snakes will ever show, I don’t people in here have ever seen a snake.
I remember first time I went to the country and saw people chopping wood, picking up the logs barehand, removing leaves like they were making their beds, I asked if they weren’t afraid of a snake being there, then they explained that the only thing they have to worry about are bees.
The nastiest person I’ve ever met is named Daisy, worse than a rattle snake.
Have a nice weekend.
xx
This Daisy is very sweet and far away in Australia. Can’t be the same.
Oh wow, look at all those daisys!!!! We certainly like Daisy mountain!!!! We don’t seem to get any ever where I live.
But we don’t have sugar maples here.
That’s so pretty:-)
Daisy’s pretty also
That is so pretty, lucky Daisy, a whole mountain named after her… You don’t have any Dougall mountains do you?
Sorry, not even a Dougall Ditch, You’re not alone, there’s no Kaci or Kyla features either.
