I’ve been trying to do a post about Kaci. Yet for some reason Kaci has become camera shy and I can’t figure out why. Here she comes now, I’ll ask her
Whoops, there she goes again-avoiding the camera. I don’t know what’s causing it and I don’t know what to do about it. This morning, for our breakfast dessert (a tradition I started and now feel entitled to follow), we got green beans. Kaci ate one and at the first sign of the camera, she went away. The good news is that the green beans didn’t go to waste-you snooze, you lose when it comes to food and I’m around. When fear of the camera overcomes desire for green beans, something’s seriously up.

Good idea. Every time she gets a treat, so do I. It’s just that she’s never been like this before and I have no idea why she started this.
Try turning the camera on when she isn’t around then snap….If Mommy turns the camera on I will leave what I am doing cos I love my photo being taken but she wants to get me doing something naughty..BOL she doesn’t want my nose in it.. At least you got all your 5 a day in one sitting..BOL xx00xx

I can see that you’re a camera hog. The problem is that you have to point the camera at her and wait a couple of seconds for the auto focus. That’s enough time for the quick little rascal to escape.

Try turning off the sound on the camera. I loveeeeeeeeeeee the camera and as soon as Mom gets it out…. I stop what I’m doing and race over to it. Mom turned off the sound features on the camera and now she can take sneeky shots of me.

Yups, the answer is TREATIES!!! What your Moms needs to do is gets her favorite snack, then get the camera. Don’t even take any pics, just hold the camera in your hand and give her a treatie. Again, and again, til she is more interested in the treat than the camera. Then slowly work your way up to holding the camera towards her, all the while givin’ her treaties. Soon she’ll forgets about the flashy box and just be interested in the treaties!
How do you thinks Ma gets all those close ups of my snooter?? Not for free, I tell ya!!

Try giving Kaci a treat every time you make a picture, perhaps that will help to associate the camara wity yummie stuff and fun!!
If she runs away and gives up her green beans, that won’t work.
Our camera makes a little chime when it turns on and we can always hear it. We also know we get a treat for the camera. So when we hear it, we leave whatever cute thing SHE wanted to shoot and come sit in front of her.
Bella, however, is the most difficult to get to look at the camera. She thinks her presence is enough.

Bella is always a special case and we love her for it.
We are kinda the same way, now that sneekie Dad has a camera that is quite, fast and has a 87 million zoom, so he gets us and we never see him!

Who me? Camera shy? Nope, not me. Kaci takes after me and learns from me but recently she’s decided to do this.
Shelby is in the witness protection program. She puts down her ears and lowers her head when a camera comes out. We have very few good pictures of her. I will try the treats and see if it works.
Ah, Shelby is the cause of all the world’s problems. 🙂
Camera shy. I used to run off cuz the camera made a noise when she turned it on. She silenced it and has treats for me and Addi to stay. Hey!! I do stuff for food!!

She never used to run away from it and she actually left her green beans (which she usually is very possessive about).
Snap pictures while she’s sleeping, that’s what I do with Doggy.
That kind of kills the action shots.

Not eating green beans would be VERY worrisome except that she’s normal when the camera isn’t around.
