Another bad idea

Just so you don’t think I’m making this up, here’s the link  (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-2358304/The-WORST-car-inventions-took-Magnetic-minibars-glovebox-car-record-players-sack-carried-dogs-outside-car-fresh-air.html) .

Dogs have always had a love/hate relationship with cars since cars came on the scene. We love to stick our heads out the window, enjoy the breeze, and get a whole bunch of whiffs in rapid succession. The bad news is the dogs lost in car crashes, run over, and those left in hot cars for a long time.  Here’s a really, really bad idea-the dog sack:

article-2358304-1AB6C3C4000005DC-607_634x354You could just see where this was going. It doesn’t stop at a dangerous ride outside. You put the sack under the hood and put a treadmill under it. I can just hear the humans bragging about what gas mileage they got. The world’s first hybrid. It’s a good thing that this atrocity was never produced and didn’t get out of the mid-1930’s. If it were a great idea, humans would have made the dog drive and they’d enjoy the sack themselves.  In a marvel of early ecology, these sacks may have been recycled in the 1950’s as sack dresses-who knows?

This is the only way to travel, in my Scottiemobile (for those who haven’t seen my ride yet):

    Mollie and Alfie

  2. Don’t get me started. This was as bad an idea then as strapping a crate (with a dog in it) on TOP of a car was when you-know-who actually DID it. Really.

    Another bad idea is right.

Go get ’em Kyla. Curmudgeon or not. It’s still a bad idea.

    roo. stu.

  3. Kyla that is one sharp Scottiemobile…Bet you get nice wind in your furs with the top down cruising…That dog sack is one of the worst ideas ever…Hoomins are so darn weird…

    • I get all the advantages of the sack but I’m as safe as the driver because I’m inside the car. “Human” is canine for “weird”.

  4. I love the Scottie mobile. Very cool indeed! To hell with the other nonsense.

  5. A Miata is exactly what you should ride in too. Way cute.

Have a woof woof day. My best to your mom. 🙂

  6. First of all…..a huge raspberry to that dog bag thingy. No wonder it never took off.

You’ve got the right idea about dog travel. Love your scottiemobile and number plate.

    XXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy

  7. That plate is hysterical!

  8. Grrr… I don’t like going in the car, I definitely wouldn’t like riding OUTSIDE the car!

  9. The dog sack is really a bad idea. I don’t like this rolling cages – but I would like to take a ride with you in your Scottiemobile :o)

  10. HEY Sweetie, you look just awesome in your ride, but aren’t you facing the wrong way to drive it.

Pees; Hope you got to save some more of them green battered beans! Heeheehee

  11. Those car sacks are horrible!!!!!! leave it to the 1930’s I am glad they never were produced too. With time comes more compassion and common sense i guess lol

  12. Is there a place for Kaci to sit in the Aroo car? Maybe just you dogs should take it for a spin.

  13. Your Scottie Mobile is way cooler than ours! Enjoy it. Much love, The Scottie Mom.

    • OMD-you guys could ride in it. He went to Atlanta last June for a day and would have loved to see K&H (we didn’t know you then), but He was just passing through for some unpleasant business in SC, (spreading ashes of loved ones) He left AZ at 6 am on a Sunday morning and flew to ATL, driving in rain to SC through Atlanta. He did what He had to do and returned to AZ 36 hours later because He was forced to connect through Chicago. I was upset that I didn’t get to go to help Him.
