We arrived at our relatives’ house. Here are my cousins:
Digger and Bandit
Digger:
You can catch a little of their personalities by this short video
FOR SWTS: Digger has arthritis in his tailbone, a bad knee and is bowlegged. He swims and surfs to build up leg strength. He’s only five and has been this way since he came here. Some suspect he was weaned too early but we don’t know. Bandit’s mom was approached because people knew about Bandit and they wanted her to look at Digger. She didn’t want to and refused. But they were persistent. Digger was part of a breeder’s litter and all the siblings were sold but nobody wanted poor Digger with the leg problems. Finally, she agreed to see Digger and what happens when you put a dachshund in need in front of a Doxie Mom? You get a law firm of Digger and Bandit, was there ever a doubt? SWTS, do you have any thoughts and/or suggestions about this?
After an initial group bark, we got down to business. I’m not in the photo because someone had to take the picture
I thought it was a nice touch for them to plant cactus to make us feel at home
Digger and Bandit claim no responsibility for this because these cactii are wild, native and all over. We appreciate the thought, though.
Swims AND surf!! He sounds like one cool, stompy wompy surfer doxie!
Well, it is a rehab surf. See here
That digger is a real surfer Dude, hope that stuff help him out. Looks like Kaci and digger are getting into the noseie rubs! Ahhhh, did you find some food somewhere and got side tracted!
The Mad Scots
It’s even better than that-I got Bandit and Digger hooked on green beans. They love them too!
I think they are already the best of friends. Yes I do.
Have a woof woof day. 🙂
Kaci and Bandit play together. I’m into food.
Law firm of Digger and Bandit? Oh me and lawyers are like oil and water. Then throw a medical opinion in, I could be behind bars for the rest of my life. I don’t want to be on a chain gang. SWTS had a stress fracture in his dysplasia of his ankle. The Relief from Epic in SWTS’s water helped with his discomfort it is all natural.
Sweet William The Scot
Digger’s mom will see this.Thanks.
Digger is something special! Glad that he has a good home and people who love him. His leg just makes him extra special!!
wags
Jazzi and Addi
He seems to get along just fine with his problems.
Yup: Digger and Bandit sounds like a law firm OK. Perfect name for mischief-makers!
That they are,
First off, we are glad you to hear that you arrived safely & that there was no squabbling during the ride over. Now onto Digger & Bandit … how do you tell them apart?? Is this the first time they’re meeting Kaci? And finally, what is their green bean situation?
Bandit is the black and tan one but Digger is the black and tan one. OK-Digger’s bigger and has a longer nose. I’ve met them a few times before but this is Kaci’s debut and it’s going well. We turned the doxies on to frozen green beans-they love ’em now.
I can’t think of a better vacation – with four doggies! Have fun and I loved hearing about how Digger won his mom’s heart and got a home. Who could resist those eyes?
Alyssa, Mr. Fox & Scruffy
She certainly couldn’t and Digger is here permanently.
We think it’s fantastic that Digger got a home. So many people would have just said he’s only a dog.
XXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy
Only a dog? It’s obvious that those people missed out on one of the pleasures of life-a relationship with a good dog.
That was wonderful about Digger, you guys are going to have a ball 🙂 xx00xx
Mollie and Alfie
They love balls-there are about 87 lying around the house so there’s no fighting over them.
Kyla, you are a fabulous photographer! It was nice to meet your cousins and I’m glad Digger found a wonderful home.
Digger has some curmedgeonly qualities. I’m going to have to mentor him.
have a great time with your cousins!
