We sympathize with those of you in the Southern Hemisphere going through heat waves and those in the Northern Hemisphere going through blizzards and record cold.
We have only one orange tree with fruit because of the mini-freeze last January. In a normal year, we’d have lots of lemons, limes and blood oranges also. Other than that, it’s 63F 17C and sunny.
Our message, we wish you were here also.
Love to all and good luck
Kyla, Kaci and Kismet
It’s nice where we are tooowooowooooooo! Though I’d wuvwuvwuv some snow!
Just go a bit north to Flagstaff and you’d have our wish. Yes, there is an Arizona ski area.
I wish I was there too. It’s cold here but not freezing right now.
Have a woof woof day. My best to your humans. 🙂
I bet it feels pretty chilly with the humidity there.
No offense Kyla, but do you REALLY wish they were ALL here? I mean…. it’s getting a little crowded in this neck of the woods. Just sayin!
Yeah, I’d like to see them all until their bad weather blows away. Think of the trouble we’d all get in.
As long as they let you visit when we’re sitting at 115!
To see us-why wouldn’t they?
The wind’z are so strong here, I got blown right over doing my buizznezz.. but my Human Brudder got home safely from Austria skiing, so wez all over the moon xxooxxx
Interfering with doing your business should be illegal. Is nothing sacred anymore?
Oh poot, we are sticking our tongues out at you, its going to be 5 here Monday!
The Mad Scots
If you’re going to stick your tongue out, don’t go near a metal pole. You’re welcome here.
We have been having weird weather. It went from 86 to 66 in one day. We used to have red grapefruits, honey bell oranges, tangerines, mangoes, bananas, and macadamia nuts growing here. Now the citrus has been destroyed by sad disease and we have many mango trees, macadamia’s, and bananas. Mom planted a carambola (star fruit) tree last year and we do have some fruit on it. We also cut the pineapple tops and plant them. Hopefully we will have a large crop of mangoes this year. Sid and Shelby love them.
He remembers “mango fever” from his time in Panama.
You don’t grow one of my faves, avocados?
Luckily we only had one day of extreme heat….we have much better temperatures for the rest of the week. For some reason the lemon tree in the back isn’t growing any lemons!
XXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy
It could be like our situation. Was there a big freeze last winter? We had one a year ago and the citrus trees (lemons and limes) had their leaves turn brown and fall off. Some branches turned brown and died. This season, we had NO lemons or limes. It’s happened three times in the 12 years we’ve been here including 2 of the last 3. With no freeze this winter, we’ll have a reduced crop and inferior quality the year after. We might get the good stuff in Jan 2016.
Oh, our weather’s the same Kyla! It was 68 today, and it’s gonna be abouts that tomorrow ~ I hopes this cold snap ends soon, I can’t imagine poopin’ in that!!
Bad news is we REALLY need the rain, and none is on the horizon…paws crossed for next month!
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
I know what you mean but we’ve had a few showers in the past couple of weeks so we’re good. It should be raining there at this time of year.
That’s what I wish too. We have 5°C and mist and drizzle. It ruins my hairstyle :o)
You don’t have a hairstyle anymore since Grampy used all your shampoo.
Oh, you’re right… shall I try it with some aquanet? ( just in case this 80s-sin still exists)
Wow – can you imagine if we all got together? Lots of mischief, for sure! Enjoy your weather there. It’s a little chilly here. Much love, The Scottie Mom.
Instant destruction. Keep warm-we need you.
It’s only 33 here but the wind makes it feel like 20 degrees so I’m packing up my doggy bed and headed your way……”wish you were here” was an invite, right?
Aroo to you,
Sully
Yes, of course!
We have rain but I’d prefer snow!
Sounds like pawsome weather. We’re about to enter a second wave of the heat… A week of 40C+ temps (thats 104F+). Not looking forward to it.
You can try to transport yourself here-you’re welcome here.
