I hope they have better luck than I’ve had with Kali. She’s very stubborn (gotta be the Scottie in her) and won’t listen.

We worry about those snakes too. I didn’t know there was training though.
Have a woof woof day. My best to your human. 🙂
I’ll let you all know when it’s done. It’s very close to home and if they allow pix, I’ll post. Hopefully I can get pictures in before they get over the shock of a Scottie with a camera.
can I send my mom to snake-training? she screamed like hell at 0:26…. and there was just Kali’s tail in the bush…. but I hope nothing will happen to you, I hope the snakes will stay away from your crib.
Kali’s problem is that she actively looks for things like critters and trouble.
is it possible that she has some Weimaraner-genes?
Could be, but she’s a bit small for that.
First thing SHE thought of was snakes! Kali looks very scottie to us. Maybe going to school would be good for her. She could avoid being bitten and point them out to the rest of you.
XXXOOO Bella & Roxy
Laughed at the one trained cat.
She goes on April 7 at 9am. That should be 3am on the 8th for you. If pictures are allowed, you’ll see them.
I can’t say that I am not stubborn either 😦
You must be a Corgi Terrier.
Oh Doggie, hope the school works for her, don’t need no stinking vet bills for viper bites. We gots garden snakes sometimes, but we stay back and bark till Dad comes out and throws them over in the pasture behind us!
The Mad Scots
We’ll report on it. It’s on a week from Monday. Garden snakes are no problem-it’s the rattlers.
Mom gave a large yelp the last time she encountered a snake in the yard, i don’t think that we have rattlers, but we harmless? snakes. We do have bufo toads that can kill large dogs by spraying them with venom. We hope that Kali is a good student. She is Scottie so that doesn’t bode well for learning.
The trainer has 2 terriers himself and says terriers are great learners because they’re smart. (and stubbbbbbbbbborn).
Wow. We have rattlesnakes near the weekend house, let us all know if it works. If it does, Noodle might be taking a trip to New River.
Noodledogs Mom
You’re close by? We’ll report as much as possible a week from Monday.
Not that close, about 4 hours away. If it works, I would be willing to take her
Noodledog Mom.
No, we’re not giving her up. When our pack accepts a new member, that’s it-no banishment except for extreme stuff like murder. If you’re taking a trip around here, we’re happy to see Noodle and could include another close by blogger also. Kali isn’t a burden-she’s a joy.
I meant take Noodle to school, not take Kali. Kali is yours forever.
PHew, that was a close call 🙂
Don’t want to burst your bubble but… the hard core terriers, they seek revenge. Some take the shock as a personal affront BY the snake, and therefore, ALL snakes must be hunted down and made to pay.
I hope for your sake Kali isn’t one of them!
I know. The vet recommended this one particularly. He has two terriers of his own. Kali is an extremely active, fearless little terrier. Kaci and I will not be undergoing this.
Of course you would be smart enough not to go around a snake all on your own!
Youre right. I have Kaci and Kali to do the heavy lifting!
Will Kaci be attending on behalf of all 3 of you?
Wally & Sammy
No, Kaci might watch Kali. I’m going to try to watch too if the peeps let me go.
Oh boy… I hope this works. Scruffy tried to take on the racoons recently. She chased them into the pool and was NOT having any part of them in her yard. They were twice her size too. Mr. Fox loves going in bushes looking for critters too.
Alyssa, Mr. Fox & Scruffy
Kali shouldn’t be tangling with raccoons, either (without MY help) but we’ve never seen one here. One slip up with a snake….
Not to be an animal hater but is there anything you put in your yard to ward these things off or off them? Poor Kali is just being a dog. I feel for her. I hope the school works.
OMD that is such a worry, hope the school works as we would hate to see her get bitten. xxxoxxx
Mollie and Alfie
Supposedly it works every time.
O.K. I need that but we don’t call the locals: scorpions, spiders, bees, wasps, centipedes, toads, and rattlesnakes we call them bipeds the neighbors who carry lethal poison or venom.
Sweet William The Scot
We have them also. There’s no solution and no antidote for them.
GOOOD LORDY!!!! Get away from that thing!!!!!! She’s fearless. WOOOOOOOOOweeeeeeeeeI Actually, I’d love to sink my teeth into one of those thingeys and shake it to death.
Uh….maybe not.
The snake would say “turn about is fair play”.
OMD that’s scary! Mom says snakes taste like chicken BOL. But we seriously doubt she’s ever tried it. We hope school is successful. We’ve seen copperheads and rattlesnakes here but haven’t gotten close. We stick to tree rats and moles.
I know what would happen if Mom encountered one. “YOU GUYS PROTECT ME”. That sounds like the probable scenario, right?
I think that’s a given. Mom wouldn’t stick around long enough to even get the “protect me” out of her mouth. Peeps. *sigh*
We don’t have snakes around here. It being all urban and concrete. When Donna disappears into a bush, I worry more about her eating something she is not supposed to. Happy snake-proofing Kali 😉
But you have Dragons 🙂
Oh no… Snakes are SCARY!! We have never seen any near our house (thank dog) but they get them sometimes at Alex’s… Eastern brown snakes too… VERY venomous!
Stay tuned, we’ll report on snake school in a bit over a week. Welcome back-we missed you (and even Floyd).
So scary, hope snake school works out!
You’ll get a report next week.
