We went to the vet. The vet techs took off the bandage and the vet said he couldn’t be happier about my progress. Since the weekend was coming up, he advised that the stitches don’t come out until Monday to insure complete healing and I have a smaller bandage on until then (the office isn’t open most of the weekend, just Saturday morning). OK, no problem. They asked about the vaccine-how is it that a vaccine could work against something you already have? He said it is to “wake up” the immune system, give it a kick in the butt and get it working against any cancer. They need more info about it, but They determined there’s gonna be no chemotherapy or radiation. He’s known a human who had radiation and it was terrible (but it affects individuals in different ways). This man said he was waiting for his radiation treatment and was talking to a woman in the waiting room who was also waiting for it and she said that the treatments were much worse than childbirth. No chemo or radiation for me but The vet is checking out the shots.
The vet techs left their signature on their handiwork.
It says “We ♥ you, Kyla, APMC”. That’s the Anthem Pet Medical Center.
Great news! and you get to keep all your furs.
Aroo to you,
Sully
Yup, there’s no bigger fur thieves than the “C” and the treatments for it.
Hang in there Kyla. I love how the vet techs left their mark. They love you like the rest of us do!
Alyssa, Mr. Fox & Scruffy
You know, I think I’ll be OK-just as long as it didn’t messastize-I’m learning new stuff but not how to spell medicalese. Thanks for your support!
You have pretty awesome feet – even though it’s bandaged. The vet should know he’s dealing with *the* Kyla and she’s a great healer.

That’s for certain, he knows. I just wish I got a Frequent Flyer Discount.
Stupendous news!!! We hope the vaccine will WORK! So happy you’re healing so quickly.
Um, we’re not certain about taking the vaccine. We’ll learn more on Monday. We’ll let everyone know in case something bad like this happens to them. I didn’t know and I’m learning something and it might help some of you some day (I hope like 30 years from now).
WooHoo!!! Oh, this is indeed great news! Now, paws crossed on this vaccine! I thinks it is a pawsome plan, and of course they LOVES you!! We all loves you!
Now, I hopes you got lots of green beans for your troubles…Oh, and I’m tippin’ my margarita glass to you! bol
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
I want my vaccines to come with a 90% tequila mix.

Glad it are good news!
I hope the ordeal is over.
Wonderful news!

It’s been a soap opera, hasn’t it/
Mom says “that’s life”. Some days are plain sailing…others are just drama, drama, drama.
So pleased it is good news. We continue to send healing vibes and POTP. Have a super Saturday.
best wishes Molly
I’d wish the same to you but your Saturday is almost over and we just got up. Have a great Sunday.
Kyla I’m happy too about the progress of your paw. I hope the shots will work for you, radiations are not easy to bear, even my dad had tears in his eyes and he is a man.
We have to find out more about the shots. It’s not certain that I’ll get them.
Keep up the great work. You’ll be right as rain soon.
Have a woof woof day. My best to your wonderful human. 🙂
That’s part of the problem-there’s been no rain.
Your bandage says it all “We Love You Kyla”. Your immune system is a wonder thing. Several years ago Lee got the crap Flu and was having a terribly time getting over the darn bug. Her hematologist suggested giving her a flu shot. Lee thought he was crackers. Well Lee felt so bad she figured if she died she died. Hence she got the flu vaccine even though she had the flu and in fifty two hours her fever was gone and she was on the up side. They say it takes several weeks to be at full strength the vaccine but that your body starts building Antibioties right away.
Sweet William The Scot
That’s it-the shot is an alarm clock for the immune system to wake up and get cranking.
Such wonderful news!!!! That is pretty cool that the techs signed your cast…Hope your weekend is full of extra treats!!!!
I can’t wait to get it off but I don’t want to destroy the sentiments, either.
Yippee!! So glad you have good news! Sorry you have to keep the bandage for a couple more days, but it’s a small price to pay. Demand more green beans! And isn’t it a small world…we know some peeps who also live in Anthem! Have a super Saturday!
Waggies,
Braeden and Seth
We live in New River, bordering Anthem. We’re wilderness and Anthem is developed. There’s not much in the way of business in New River (not even a gas station) so we go to Anthem for stuff.
We love you too. We are happy about your report.
I’m waiting for Monday afternoon (2 here but 5pm there). I think I’ll also find out about the options I have.
Oh yes, I love you guys also.
I knew you’d be good as new in no time!
I think I’ll be good. New, not me!
All of us at Golden Pines echo the same words that the vet techs said–I’m glad it’s good news for you, and all those prayers for healing worked–We’ll continue to send them, just in case, okay? 🙂
I hear you and thank you. I’ll find out Monday about this experimental vaccine. That should be an education for us all.
WoooHoooo super fantastix news Kyla and we hope the Vac-ine does the job. Youz don’t want non of that radio-therapy treatment. We sign your bandage too.. We lub’z you xxxoxxxx
Mollie and Alfie
Bandage off tomorrow and we get the info about further stuff.
Kyla, I am so glad to hear that you are doing much better!
I’ll be better tomorrow when the stitches come out.
How are you today little missy? With your stitches out? Feeling OK?
Your Pal, Stuart
The vet appointment is in 90 minutes and I’ll find out then. I feel a lot better-I frap with the youngsters. I’ll report when I’m back from the vet.

Good Luck at the Vet. Crossed paws for more good news.
