Kharma’s back!

It’s monsoon season and we’ve had a little rain. We have our visitor, Kharma, who makes her annual appearance.

We took her out of the pool and left her in the bird bath. Soon she was in neither and gone again. We don’t know if it’s the rain that brings her out or she wants to appreciate the cactus flowers.

About Kismet

I'm a 16 year old Indian Ringneck parrot curmudgeon in New River, Arizona in the wild west country. If you're a sunflower seed, you're dinner.

  1. Whatever the reason it’s good to see her again. Yes indeed.

    Have a fabulous day. 🙂

  2. It’s great that Kharma is back, seems amphibians are more faithful than some humans :o) your cacti are beautiful, no wonder that my mom tried to eat them lol

  3. You mom can eat some of ours-the stems, not the flowers.

  4. Well I guess that rain water is filling up your well. Lee’s grandmother had well water. They say it is better for you because you pick up your minerals that way.
Now Kharma knows when to appear to see the beauty of the cactus blooming.

    • Unfortunately, we run the drinking water through the reverse osmosis system and that takes out most of the minerals. Why? It removes the natural arsenic in the well water.

      • Arsenic! Number 33 Why that is a killer but it can preserve you for eternity. When Lincoln was assassinated, he was embalmed and went on public display for nearly a month!! Arsenic was used. When Lincoln was exhumed in 1901, he was perfectly preserved. Drinking you water straight can preserve you.
Don’t you hate people that have almost perfect recall.

  5. Jealous of the beautiful cactus flowers, not of the rain. It has been torrential here for days. Our flowers are boring in comparison to your flowers.

  6. Beautiful flowers – Penny is currently in an “eat all the flowers” stage so it’s good we don’t live near any cacti.

  7. Hey Lookie there!!! What’s up Kharma?! She looks good enough to lick! Butts, I hear they don’t taste that good, so maybe I’ll pass…
Your blooms are FABulous!!! Do they have fragrance?? Or, don’t you wants to get your snooter close enough to sniff? ☺
    Kisses,
    Ruby ♥

  8. Lovely that she is back. Have a marvellous Monday.
    Best wishes Molly

  9. We were just thinking about Karma the other day. Glad s/he’s back for a visit. Your cactus flowers are gorgeous.

  10. I’m told the legs taste like chicken.

  11. Dat are cool, I ain’t got no froggies or toads round here.

  12. Guess she likes to do whatever her heart desires. Luckily you got to see her.

  13. How many years has she been stopping by to smell the cactus flowers?

    Aroo to you,
    Sully

  14. Beautiful cactus flowers. I have a frog dat I see when I go for my last walk of da night. I keep my distance from it. I think it smells bad. I much prefer to chase da evening bunny.

  15. Kharma is looking pleasantly plump & healthy – it’s always good to see her.

  16. Mama’s first Scottie “Agi” bit the leg off of their resident frog years ago. But apparently according to Chinese culture a 3-legged frog brings Good Luck – not sure the frog would’ve seen it that way???? Mama was worried the frog would only swim in circles …..

  17. Wow, Kharma has grown! I think she comes back because she knows what wonderful peeps and pups live there.

  18. Are you sure that’s not Kharma’s grandkids ???

  19. So cool that he’s back
