It’s primary election day tomorrow in Arizona and it’s been silly season for a while. My very first post on this blog was about the incessant political phone calls. These have not only continued, they’ve increased. Another bad thing is the landscape.
These litter the landscape and are supposed to be removed a week after the election. They aren’t and some blow away and really do litter. I’ve asked around and I haven’t found anyone who admits that one of the signs changed any vote. It gets downright silly sometimes
It’s just meant to be a quick burst while you’re driving. There’s no documentation of what’s actually true. Of course, Carter could be listening to the angel on one shoulder sometimes, and at other times to the devil on the other shoulder.
One doesn’t have to wonder about why would anyone spend way more money to get a job than the official salary of the job would ever pay. It’s an all-you-can-steal position and you better do it quickly because you only have two or four years (depending on the position) to grab all you can for you and your supporters who want a return on their money.

Looks like Carter doesn’t really have a platform. We’re lucky in Oz an election is called 6 weeks before voting day, so we mostly get ads on television or news.
Will Rogers said, it doesn’t matter who you vote for, you always end up with a politician.
Will was too polite.
Politicians are becoming bigger and bigger crooks. I worked around them a lot while I was still working and it was all about ‘what’s in it for me.’ Don’t care for most to them.

Tomorrow is primary day here. We have the same stupid signs all over the place. It does not help.Last year there were only 33 people that voted before me and I went to the poll about 11AM. The man running for Councilperson figured that it cost him $25 for each vote. Out of the whole community of 40,000 people, only 2100 votes were cast. Shame on everyone that didn’t vote. If you don’t vote, you can’t complain.
Another problem is the attack ads. It’s always about attacking what the opponent is and does. It’s never about what the candidate believes or is going to do so at re-election time, one can hold their feet to the fire and say “you lied”.
It’s hard to sniff out the truth.

I say Carter will win – she has the most signs. I hope some boy dogs leave some pee mail on those because I think that’s all they’re good for.

I don’t recall a ‘season’ for the signs. Seems like they’re always around!
That’s because they’re never taken down as required. Those who make the laws don’t have to follow them.
I don’t trust no pawliticians. And I’s even gotten some pets from a woman who’s now a senator. But don’t worry, I’s had lotsa baths to disinfect. BOL BOL!

I’m confused about Carter – I wouldn’t vote for her just in case she decides to tax your green beans too!
That’s already happened. Believe it or not, there are places in Arizona that tax apartment rents and almost all municipalities tax food-buy a head of lettuce, pay tax. I’m stocking up on air here while I can.
Will Heather Carter raise the taxes or will she cut it? Or will she raise it to cut it? Sometimes I’m glad that I’m a dog lol

Too close to the street. There’s no sense putting them up where nobody can see them. Then again, nobody thinks politicians have any sense.
