Another day, another envelope and missive from Kyla. OK, let’s see this one.
To all-
I suppose all of you are wondering about my selection of Kismet. Blogville not only needs a bird blogger, but no pirate story is complete without a parrot. Let’s examine the options:
Kaci- She’s a sweetheart The problem is that she doesn’t have a mean bone in her body. We need a certain edge to this blog.
Kali- She is all play and no work. The blog would be ignored while Kali was outside trying to snatch moths out of the air with her mouth.
Kismet- That feisty bird certainly has an edge. She’s also industrious. I’ve given her my personal copy of “The Curmudgeon’s Handbook”. I’ve also been training her for the last three months for the job. It will be like “Kyla II”. Who better to parrot me than a parrot? Kismet has a bird-eye view from her crow’s nest (I’m on a roll here) and will chronicle your doings. Both of you will be able to ask to make a post and Kismet is supposed to let you do it occasionally. Kali, you’ll have to spare everyone by failing to post your boring hunting stories.
Kismet will start soon and I’ve even taught her how to AROOOO, although it took me a while to break her of the squawking habit.
Hey Kismet, wipe that smirk off your beak. You’re a sore winner.
Well there you have it. I think this is an awesome idea. Fits the bill very well.
Have a perfect Aroooo day. 🙂
Thanks-I enjoy your work.
Well then…. there it is…
Let us make this OFFICIAL then…
WELCOME TO BLOGVILLE KISMET… We are sure that the other two couldn’t hold a FEATHER to YOUR words of WISDOM and your Take Over of the Blog has been well planned for… We will ENJOY HAVING you around town and… taking us under you wing.
When I mess up, just tell me. Don’t stand underneath me-just saying.
Alrighty then! Kismet – this will be the beginning of a beautiful friendship between CAT and BIRD. At least I hope so! Welcome to blogville officially.
Hugs, Sammy
If dog and cat can co-exist, why not?
KISMET you’re the BIRD of the hour.
Sweet William The Scot
There are a couple of days in the year when I don’t want to be the bird of the hour. Fortunately, there are 11 months to go before the first one comes again.
Yeah Kismet, I’m looking forward to your perspective on things….so to speak! Aroooooooo
Kyla trained me well. It will be the Kyla slant on things.
Makes perfect sense and Sam & I are looking forward to your stamp on things. Welcome to Blogville, can’t wait to see how high you soar!
I can soar but Kyla told me not to go near the water.
yes, Kismet is Kylas parrot and I so agree for the pirate thingy. I just thought my mom could be a stand in, but she is just an ole hen, not a parrot. I guessed it that the wise scottie lady made a reallly smart decision. Chapeau!
From what you describe, everything that your mom and dad touch turns into a crisis. Humans?
Welcome Kismet! We are looking forward to your first Aroooo.
An aroo is tough, even for a parrot, but I’m getting better-see
ARO.
I still need improvement on this one.
We won’t judge. Our aroos are pretty pathetic. We prefer to bark like wild dogs.
We accept the decision of Kyla. She was within her rights to name a predecessor and we will happily learn from Kismet. Our knowledge of birds is very small and we look forward to having a learning experience.
I’ll be an unbiased reporter about what the two pups are doing. If they had control, you would have heard how one cured cancer and the other brought about world peace.
Hehehe A Pawsome Legacy from Kyla,And I can see the need for a parrot pirate in Blogville being a Pirate Bunny and all that! Can’t wait to see what you get up to Kismet,xx Speedy
Aye aye.
Hello there Kismet! It’s good to meet you, Kali and Kaci. We are also reading through the post of Kyla. We are excited to read about your adventures, Kismet. Welcome to blogville!
Love,
Piappies Fudgie, Princess, Frappie, Mocha, Sugar, Wai-Max, Wai-Pai & Forgie
Welcome. I have puppies to herd here.
Me and Nellie think Kayla made a good choice. Long may her legacy live on.
I tried to tell her, and was successful, that we birds don’t have a verb “parrot’ for nothing.
We know that parrot squawk around here….all the parrots we have. Kyla certainly thought long and hard. We think she did well! So welcome aboard Kismet.
Not only did Kyla think about it-she did something about it. She was afraid that I might be too feisty. She taught me that my birditide was similar to a TerrierTude.
There’s talk that Kismet prints out some blogs and uses them to line the floor of her cage. We need to get to the, uh, bottom of that before we can be comfortable with an avian joining the noble order of canine bloggers. /curmudgeon
I don’t do the cage pooipie thing without permission. I’m trained by Kyla and twice as opionated.
I’s gonna accept Kyla’s decishun, I’s just curious if she wuz on da pain meds when she made it.
BOL! Just kiddin Kismet, and welcome to Blogville. I usually bark at burdz, but I’s never seen one like you before, so I’s not sure what to do. Ya are a purty color.
My preidction=-AFLAAAC. Ducks all the way.
Hmmmm…. I thinks dat da burd wuz usin’ sum kinda burd voodoo on Kyla to git control of da blog… evfur seen da movie “The Birds”??? Pawsonally, it seems kinda burd-brained to me…
That said, welcome to Blogville, Kismet…why not a burd? We gots pigs writin’ blogs (instead of bein’ yummy bacon), bunnies, crabs, all kinds of food items writin’ blogs and not evfun includin’ recipes!! Why not an inedible burd? Although I’m sure some of da kitties would try to finds out how inedible you is… bol, bol!!
Oh noooo. We birds were defamed by Tip E Head Ron Even the name “Hitch Cock” is a problem for most all of us birds.
A Birdie Blog, yeah! That’s gonna be great funs!
Hello Mr Birdie, I is very pleased to meet you
Loves and licky kisses
Princess Leah xxx
I’m definitely a female. If I were a male I would have had a destiictive black ring around my neck. It doesn’t really matter, Kyla taught me how to be a curdmugeon.
Perfect. It’s all perfect. In fact, I’d love to see if Kismet can ride on the back of one of the dogs, like Gertrude rode on Winn-Dixie in the book/movie. That’d be awesome.
Alyssa, Mr. Fox & Scruffy
You want to make me a movie star? That’s a good start! iove you, scruffy as you may be,
I think it’s perfect, and it’s going to be great fun! I look forward to what 2015 brings!!
It just has to be better than 2014, I will it so.
Pawfect!!! Wait…that doesn’t quite work for you…hmmmm…wells, I’ll have to work on that one..☺
Anyhu, Kismet, you are gonna do a FABulous job, I just knows it. And the Pirate thingie..yups, we GOTS to have a parrot for the Pirate stories! And since you likes the margaritas…nothin’ could be betters! Sounds like you’re gonna need a few watchin’ overs Kaci and Kali! BOL
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
It have the Kyla impression down pat. Now, don’t worry, get another ‘rita.
This should be a fun adventure!
Monty and Harlow
It’ll be new to me also.
Wooooooooweeeeeeeee! I’m all about Kismet taking over. Kyla’s no dummy. And neither are Kali and Kaci. Why should they do all the work? Smart move.
Kyla was smart. I’m only a bird brain.
Just catching up now, glad to hear the spirit and the tradition lives on – bird puns and all!
I try to think, “What would Kyla say?” and then I try to get it right.
WELCOME aboard Matey…its full green beans ahead…we can’t wait to hear all the comments and details of each post you do……..anytime the Pirate Parrot whats to sail the seven seas, we will take you along.
Let the Kyla Legend Ccontinue!
