Kali was in a kill shelter before being rescued (that would traumatize even this grizzled parrot). When she was brought to our home in January 2014, she was the “wild child” or as He likes to spell it “Wylde Chylde” in the manner of the Bard. She was out for adoption once before and returned because (surprise!!) she was too Wylde. She’s very smart, almost as smart as this bird-brain and she finally figured out that she’s staying.
No worries, no problems and not a problem.
On cool nights (it hasn’t been below freezing this winter), she crawls under the covers to keep a human warm by sleeping next to Him or Her. She doesn’t try to run away, like at first. This upcoming summer, she’ll just chill.
It’s great when they know they are home and quit trying to run off. Excellent. Too cute too.
Have a woof woof day. My best to your peeps. 🙂
She had a hard life before, we think. She knows what the other side of life is about.
It makes me so happy that she has figured out she now has a furever home…as a surviving rescue, that day seems like it will never come….but when it does the world turns bright and fun………..and look at all them long furs she has now….sound like she is gettin the peeps under control!
Da Sus
Yup, she has them under her paw. Sometimes, you have to earn trust. From a human it’s questionable, from a dog, it’s genuine.
Oh yeah, you know that Kyla and Kaci are also “rescue survivors”.
She knows she’s finally home.
Aroo to you,
Sully
She was a b**ch to start and then she figured out that she didn’t need to be that-it’s so much better. We can’t blame her.
Oh, how sweet is that?! Now your peeps have their own little heating pad!
I am so glads she knows she is never leaving….that always lets you relax and put your paws up
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
She does have the hottest body (no, get your mind out of the gutter) which is great during the winter. We aren’t so certain about summer but she didn’t do that last summer.
Magi e how wonderful she must feel to know she has her furever home. Her wyld chyld days were warranted, but can now be put to rest.

That first world should be imagine!
Her history is totally unknown. She has semi-developed breasts so we can only speculate. It doesn’t matter-we all love her for herself.
She feel ‘at home’ and loved.
She’s turned out to be a great dog-she returns the love plus more.
Home sweet home. Have a fabulous Friday.
Best wishes Molly
She knows she belongs.
Aww, that’s a real “butter wouldn’t melt” pose, so cute and completely relaxed
Loves and licky kisses
Princess Leah xxx
She follows the peeps around like a little puppy dog.
Ah yes….life is good for Kali…..love the photo!
Hugs, Sammy
It’s about time something good happened to her.
WE are glad that kali was SAVED and has a GOOD and LOVING home now.
TWAAAAP! The verdict is in.
With that pillow, staying put for sure. Looks quite content.
She’s too asleep to be upset.
Kali I’m glad you found the best home ever… and I know you feel all the love around you. It’s great that a little pup like you has nothing to fear and can enjoy a fabulous life….maybe you can forget all the bad things what happened before you came to Casa Kyla…
I wonder what she does remember of her life before here.
There is nothing like staying at home in your forever home for real comfort.
Sweet William The Scot
Kaci is nodding her head in agreement.
so glad you’re taking such good care of her Kismet, she obviously realizes that you are totally smitten with the Wylde one. 😉
I am. She doesn’t try to get at me anymore. The cage is too high for her but it was just annoying.
Are you telling me that there is hope for my wild child?
Yes, but it takes a while.
We hope that you are right- Susan. Sidney, and Shelby
What a sweet, sweet picture of that angel. It brings a tear to my eye. She’s a sweetie and very lucky. You’re lucky too. Ooh me……too much sentiment for this little Scot. AroOO. Stu.
Compose yourself, Stu. Everything will be OK.
I only crawl under da covers when I are cold, momma can keep herself warm.
Kali doesn’t so it in the summer
You know we really, really love a happy ending, and I’m glad Kali has and knows she’s found the most perfect place! :-)!
She’s calmed down a lot-until she sees a rabbit.
Stay wild Kali! We’re ready to play again whenever you’re ready! DASH! is always up for a play date. Pablo would love to meet you!
Perhaps in April. We have spring training vistors this week.
Isn’t it great when you can relax knowing you’re safe and loved and never have to worry about bad, evil places again? You’re a lucky pup… and other pup… and bird.
Alyssa, Mr. Fox & Scruffy
Kaci and Kali know what you’re talking about. I don’t-I’m not a rescue.
Nawww… A happy ending. 🙂
Yes-she’s getting closer to perfect every day.
So sweet! Got to love happy tales (and tails!). Much love, The Scottie Mom.
Nothing better than a happy dog.
