In the latter part of March, a lot of the vegetation turns yellow – this is from a month ago.
All things come to an end and yellow season is starting to lie on the ground
That means that we birds have to put on different make-up to camouflage against predators. I don’t have to worry so much, I have my bodyguards.
and they are terriers… so no one is brave enough to make them angry :o)
I’m a very brave bird-when they’re around.
Having body guards is a very good thing.
Have a woof woof and tweet tweet day. 🙂
They also keep the paparazzi at a distance.
No way can you go wrong with terriers by your side.
Bentley
Unless you make those terriers mad at you.
great looking bodyguards at that,xx Speedy
They’re cute, but effective.
Mellow Yellow is over, how sad.
Sweet William The Scot
Donovan is sad.
Yep a Scottish singer/songwriter ~ now don’t you be smoking dried banana skins. Stick to your Coke Boxes!
SWTS
Glad the terrier cavalry is keeping track of your movements.
They always do although I’m not entirely certain that their motives are pure. I think they guard me so they can eat me themselves.
Terrorist terriors? Nah, can’t be, right?
BaaaWaaaah you have your own FLOCK of Feather Protectors there…
Love the beautiful Yellow trees… Sad that they are falling off.
Do you think I have a case if I sue the trees?
Oh so much pretty yellow and now it is gone. At least you have bodyguards!
When you have all that yellow gold, you need bodyguards.
Kismet, does you beak intimidate them? I bet you can pretty fierce yourself.
I don’t try to intimidate, however I am prepared. Nobody has gotten past the bodyguards yet.
Those are indeed fearsome bodyguards. I’m sure that not even some tasty dog treats would distract them for a second from heir prime task of defending you.
Just as long as they don’t consider me a tasty dog treat.
Yellow season…that’s a good one. We can see it’s falling to the ground. Glad you have such great body guards, Kismet.
Yellow season is the best time of the year here.
Hope all the yellow stuff don’t give everyone the allergies………Bodyguards…..ahhh more like trouble makers!
The Mad Scots
Oh, you know them.
Those are some fine yellow trees you got there. Hey….the peeps just put out a new bird feeder and only one birdbrain has visited us in over a week. Must be my breath?
For good reason we birds are suspicious by nature. Give it time unless you’re trying to attract us with squirrel food.
wow that is a lot of yellow! darling dogs!
Kaci and Kali that you for the compliment.
We don’t get much yellowing here in Florida. Happy Bird Day to Kismet and we hope that Kaci and Kali take good care of him.
I love this new bird day idea. Well, anything’s fine as long as it doesn’t involve squirrels.
Are you sure they’re bodyguards and not just trouble makers??? Oh. okay. Ma said that’s just ME. Whatevers. Wells, they look like trouble makers to me! BOL!!
If you need some extra help, you knows who to call! Okays, if you need a margarita, you knows who to call…..☺
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
Ghostbusters for a margarita? 🙂
It’s good to have friends in low places.
Do you mean it would be better to have doxies than terrier body guards?
I thought YOU were their body guard! ;-)!
Really, I just can’t be responsible for them. That’s too much for my bird brain to handle.
Terrierists make good body guards.
There are cyber-terrorists who relegate you to spam. NO WAY are you spam. With your dresses and raft, you may be a ham, however.
Dose Palo Verdes shore are purdy! Dose bodyguards of yers look fearsum!!
The best that treats can buy.
We have trees that turn yellow like that in spring time too butt they give off A LOT of pollen and it drives poor mom’s sinuses crazy!
Wally & Sammy
OMD, it’s time to put up a barrier between Brazil and the Congo so that the pollen doesn’t reach there. One allergy season a year is eeeeeeenuf.
Those yellow flowers look soooooo much like wattle! They don’t make the ground yellow though…
During yellow season, even the wildflowers are yellow.
That’s a lot of yellow flying around! Good thing you have bodyguards!
Hugs, Sammy
So far I haven’t needed them yet.
Our trees are doing the same but ours aren’t yellow
Wags
Oreo
Is it purple season there?
It really is quite yellow. We’re green all year round, although when the weather gets dryer some tress turn redder. But mostly we’re green.
I’m surprised that you have time to notice because Donna keeps you very busy.
Precisely, she keeps me outside so I see lots of green. I never see any green when I was a workaholic in the office and without a dog. 😛
And fab bodyguards they are too!
They refuse to provide bodyguard services to Karma, the frog.
