She really missed Mothers’ Day

Kali and I have to write this post because Kismet is so full proud of herself. She thinks that she is going to be a mother.

Yes, Kismet laid an egg. She thinks it’s going to hatch. Good luck with that, burd brain. You haven’t seen a male parrot since you were separated from your brother as a fledgling. What you need to see is a parrot psychiatrist. I heard that Lucy van Pelt works cheaply.LucyVanPelt

  1. Guess what? My momma is in Kismets crew… their cousin had a bird once what laid an egg… and those silly girls waited 9 months for a brandnew bird… and my momma still waits because the cousin promised to give that brandnew bird to my mom :o)

  2. OMP OMP KISMET????? You laid an EGG??? We guess that is the Triumph of HOPE over Experience…. DARN are they gonna Scramble it fur Breakfast??? Would that be like cannibalism or somethingy???? We can’t BELIEVE that they took your Treasure away from you…

  3. Bwahahahahahaha. You can dream Kismet. You can dream all you want.

Have a terrific day and weekend. ☺

  4. Maybe the next one will be golden.

  5. Awwwww……..must be eggciting to lay an egg…….I’m sorry they took it away from you after you worked so hard to squeeze it out!

    Hugs, Sammy

  6. Be nice, kiddos…it can’t be easy laying an egg. Our cockatiel used to lay eggs too. It was kind of sweet even though she would have been a ‘challenging” mum. Happy weekend. 😉

  7. Bawahwhahhwhahwhah let’z face it guy’z, ALL Cat’z and Berd’z are fick xxooxx

    Mollie and Alfie

  8. Poor Kismet. She must be very disappointed.

  9. Have you heard of the immaculate conception?
    Sweet William The Scot

    • I’ve heard of it, of course. Birds don’t need you know what to lay an egg. They do need it to lay one that could hatch a new individual. That would be all we need-another burd brain in the house. We already have Kismet and the peeps-how much must we endure?

  10. Hey Kismet…the yolk’s on you! It’s not what it’s cracked up to be. Should have laid it on an axe – that would certainly hatchet.
    snorf, snorf

  11. Well, anyway, we’re impressed. We can’t lay eggs.

  12. Kismet, you have our sympathy, cause it sound’s like you aren’t getting and atta girls from the four leggers. Glad you got your egg back…the nerve!

  13. No no don’t got to Lucy. She’ll make you run and trip and fall! LOL!

  14. OMP !!!!! Dat is sooooooooo…. parrot cool!
    I don’t lay eggs….. just poop! hehehe.

  15. Our knowledge of birds puts us in the bird brained category.

  16. Well….be kind…..maybe she really wants to be a Mom!

  17. It’s a fine looking egg but now what?

    Aroo to you,
    Sully

  18. Ma has always had burdies, and she a parakeet once that laid egg after egg after egg, omd, Ma thinks she thought she was a chicken! Poor thing. Ma kept takin’ them outta the cage too…she acted the same way as Kismet! Burdies…gotta love their optimism!
    Kisses,
    Ruby ♥

    • That’s why there’s still burdies around. How are your hummers?

      • OMD, we have our THIRD pair of babies!!! They are making such a mess of our cover that Ma is gonna have to do some pressure washin’! BOL
Ma has taken TONS of pics of them, and is gonna post them soon! Sadly, one next got invaded by a NASTY crow, and took the eggs. 😦

  19. Yeah, dat seems to fall in da categoree of “much ado ’bout nuthin'”…….bol, bol!

  20. Oh dear… Does Kismet need a dating service?

  21. Oh no…have you broken the news to her yet? She is going to be devastated, you know that right?
