Either Kali got tired of the arrangement in the run or there’s some critter there. She’s been busy rearranging the furniture (heavy pavers).
He put things back-He liked it the old way. The purpose was to keep critters out. We remember a couple of years ago:
The fire department had to take away a rattlesnake who took to the run. When He rebuilt the barrier, a small spider quickly fled the run. Really Kali, all that work for a spider? And the dogs have the nerve to call me a bird-brain.
Reminder-if you haven’t entered the contest, you have a little over a day to get your entry in.
Yikes on the rattlesnake. We have them here too. I don’t mess with them. They can do whatever they want as long as they stay out of my space.
Have a terrific day. ☺
This one didn’t. That’s why there’s a barrier and chicken wire. We haven’t seen one in there since and both dogs went to “snake school”.
I wouldn’t fly too low with all those snakes around.
It would be terrible if the snakes sprouted wings and started to invade my air space.
Looks like a Goldilocks scenario to me. This paver is too long this way…this one is too short this way…this one is juuuussst r.i.g.h.t. 🙂
Eek on the rattlesnakes-they scare the be-Jesus outa me.
We see less than one a year. Most of the snakes we do see are harmless. The coachwhip snake is harmless and a pretty pink.
They use to shed their skins in my mom’s basement window wells and still startle me. But I appreciate their keeping vermin at bay-now if only I could get them to work on the squirrel population in my ‘hood. 😉
Get a terrier, they work on squirrels and all they want is love and food.
I had an Airedale mix once; he was quite the pill but a horrible squirrel deterrent. Could chew through the cable cord in a flash though-sigh!
Mom wishes that we had a run. It is too difficult to walk terriers that don’t want to move outside. Sid comes to a screeching halt all of a sudden and mom gets jerked around. She is not happy.
Kaci never goes into the run. Kali lives there.
We’re with Kali…..if a critter, no matter how small, invades YOUR territory, you’ve got to move stuff to get it!
No one here understands me. You do.
Well, we are glad that Kali ROUSTED OUT the …. INVADER…. butt OMD…. what if it had been another Rattling Snake???????????????????? OMD OMD THAT is SCARY… We would not like coming Face to Fang with a Rattling Snake.
Not to worry, I’ve been to “snake skuule”
I would like a paver driveway when you get that excavation done can you come and start here?
Sweet William The Scot
We have a neighbor to send to you. We want to get rid of him and paving a driveway in Cincinnati works for us. How about in December?
Did Puddle’s stupids move into your hood? I have a few I could send your way.
SWTS
No. Dumb and Dumber were smart compared to them. We’re talking about Dumbest. I’ll email you a picture of the paver driveway.
I could see da work for a rodent, but a spider are nuffin to get eggcited bout.
Get it Kismet? Eggcited???
Eggactly.
I am high PAWing Kali right nows! You gots to do, whats you got to do to gets to the critters!!! We terriers don’t let NOTHIN’ gets in our way, never mind a few tiny pavers! I bets that critter is LONG gone nows! Good work gurl!
Nows, I have been thinkin’ and thinkin’ abouts a clever name for Kismet’s eggs…got nothing. Nothin’ butts the boring. And askin’ Ma is useless! The my-grains have turned her brain to mush (yeah, I knows what you’re thinkin’…it was already half way there….☺)
I can’t waits to see what the winners are!
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
You can do the contest-terriers don’t give up that easily.
I hope the heck it isn’t another snake and if it remember your training.
Aroo to you,
Sully
It’s not a snake. I do remember my training. I still feel the electric shocks.
Good grief Kali, who knew you had such strength – being a model and all. Now Kismet, did you receive our competition entry, we think we’re on to a winner with the names we chose.
Wally & Sammy
Yes, I got your entry. Kali is very athletic and strong for her size.
Gosh that was a whole lotta work for a measly spider! But I’m GLAD it wasn’t a snake this time!!
Hugs, Sammy
Kali is ruthless.
Spiders are serious business.
She was very determined to get it. That’s very terrier.
Spiders can be dangerous too…. my momma went to the ER after I spider tried to eat her with neck and crop :o) I hope you wll have a good summer and the rattlers and spiders find another playground, far away from you…
Kaci has the sense to avoid, Kali wants to confront.
