Yup, we didn’t even bark or squawk. That’s because the mail box is at the end of the road-2 houses away. We know he was here because there was a package from our friends in South Africa, Wallace and Samuel. We opened it and What a haul! There was something for everybody.
For Kaci and Kali there was a bone biscuit each. Also there was (horrors-squaaaaawk) dried ostrich gizzard. At least it wasn’t parrot gizzard.
“The healthy choice”, but not for the bird.
For the peeps,
A regular peep party. There were tea and biscuits and OREO???? I better call Addi in Illinois and tell her that the peeps are going to eat her friend. Picture credit-Photobomb by Kali. I originally thought that the tea was a product of the USA because it had a warning not to be stupid that I thought was unique to here
But not to fear, we already knew more than we care to from experience about being in hot water. It turns out that Rooibos tea is from the Cederburg Mountains of South Africa.
There was a Rhino bag for everyone. Having never seen a rhino before, I originally thought is was a Scottie with a toothache who needed to go on a diet.
Oh yes, there was something for me. A decoration for my cage-a Scottie bird toy.
Get outta there, Kali. Enough of this photobombing.
Sometimes, the best isn’t a thing but a sentiment. This is the best. If you can’t read it, click on it to put it in a different window and if you still can’t read it, hit the “+” key while you have the Ctrl key depressed.
Wally and Sammy, thanks for everything, my chinas.
What a lovely note! I see why that so resonated with you and your family, Kismet. You have wonderful friends….which means YOU are wonderful friends. Priceless our friends are. The best gifts of all. Xxxxxxx SB
They’re great. You weren’t around for their free lesson series on how to speak South African.

It wasn’t court ordered-it came from the heart.
That is one great haul for all of you. ENJOY! Obviously all countries have to put warning on everything. It is a shame that we can’t teach common sense.
CAUTION: Holding your breath for an hour might be hazardous to your health.
What a pawsome package and a sweet note.
I’m BOLin over da hot water warning.
Warning: reading my posts may rot your mind. Naaah, go do some pool ball.
Is the BlogBird going to eat that toy?
I’m not a woodpecker.
Those China Beans came through. What a haul! We love chicken gizzards, so Ostrich gizzards must be wonderful….or at least much bigger. We thought that toy was a scottie cork screw at first! Must clean the lenses.
This gizzard cult is more widespread than I thought. I have to hide somewhere.
Thats a pawsome parrot toy .
And it’s definitely a terrier! Look at the head and tail.
that was pawsome! I first thought the tea came from france for the warning, but then I remembered that we don’t know how to prepare ot ater, because we wait that someone invents the fire :o) I love the bird toy, isn’t that great that it is a scottie toy? I’m so happy that scotties are efurrywhere :o)
btw: please add the W to the “ater” I know we are famous for ignoring the initial letters… butt that’s a little overdone LOL
oh maaan my momma and the margaritas… can you place the “h” to “ot” please too? but that’s correct french we can’t pronounce a H
e orgive ou, asy.

WOW…..that’s quite a wonderful package of goodies from Wallace and Samuel! Now you have a Scottie decoration for your cage which I’m sure you’ll appreciate…….enjoy the FUN.
Hugs, Sammy
We certainly will. Everyone gets a little something.
They are terrific friends to have. They have sent us wonderful thoughtful packages also. We enjoy Rooibos tea which they introduced us to. Just having them as friends makes us smile.
Sweet William The Scot
Give Lee an extra lick. She’s not your father but she’s special.
well he did bring some goodies for you,xx Speedy
They didn’t forget anyone-good move.
How nice is this. Way nice. What a haul indeed and the mailman is still alive. That rocks.
Have a woof woof day. My best to your wonderful mom. 🙂
The mailman lives because he wouldn’t dare come within a seven iron’s distance from here.
What a haul!! Awesome!!
It was-the dogs complain that they only got a bit of the ostrich, not the whole thing. Somebody didn’t train those dogs correctly.
that was so cool and what neat stuffs that you got!!
Wags
Oreo
One even had YOUR name on it!
Hey China Beans! We’re so glad you liked your parcel…and that it arrived in one piece *BOL*. Sorry we upset you with the gizzards Kismet, butt they sure make for good eating, just ask Kaci and Kali. We hope you like your toy, we couldn’t believe it when mom came home with it, what luck to find a Scottie bird toy. Now tell your peeps that Rooibos is good hot or cold, with or without milk, with sugar or lemon or honey or nothing at all. Mom likes hers strong and without milk. We saw your tribute to Kyla earlier in the week, we miss that girl something fierce butt as we said in our letter, you are doing a grrrreat job as the new voice of the blog Kismet.
We hope your dad had a good Father’s Day yesterday.
BIG licks,
Wally & Sammy
Thank you again. Kaci and Kali did like the gizzard. I would have been a cannibal to try it.
wow – what a haul!
Yes. Hello, Ainsley.
What a sweet gesture from your friends and an even greater score on goodies. Here’s hoping everyone enjoys all their respective treats while you fondly recall of all the good memories of your pal, Kyla. 🙂
Kyla was such a foodie, we hope she comes back to enjoy this.
Good Dawgness – THAT was a kare package if I’ve ever seen one. In memory of Kyla to boot. You’ve got yourself some good friends there. Woooot!
Everyone got something to eat and you got a scottie toy. – – But yah, lovely friends you have in South Africa 🙂
