Kali has been possessed about the northeast corner of the dog run. She spends hours there and would spend the entire day out there (with meal breaks-it’s tough work and makes one hungry). She’s trying desperately to get to something and that could only be a critter.
On the outside, you can see the bricks and stones blocking the small entrance to the run. Kali will paw and try to stir up trouble whether she’s in the inside or outside of the run. Kaci knows that there is something there also. It can’t be a rattlesnake-they’ve both been to snake school and there’s not much room there for a snake to hide. The peeps decided to see what the attraction was, so they went out and took apart the barricade. Yes, they found a critter. It was a baby lizard. It’s not even 2 inches (5cm) long.
The lizard was probably hatched recently and went on the side of the house. The peeps replaced the “barricade” and wish the lizard well- sleep tight, Lizzie.
Good luck with that, Kali. Those things are faster than you think. I’ve only managed to get a mouth of air when I hunt them.

But a baby isn’t that quick. Kyla bit off a tail once.
Lizards?? I pretty much ignore em, but da cats luv da baby geckos dat get in da house.
Kali’s all over them also. She’s a regular zookeeper.
hehehe are you sure Kali wasn’t a kitty in a former life?xx Speedy
We’re not sure about everything that happened to her in this life.
you have fabulous noses… you discovered the bonsai-lizard immediately. I’m glad the lizard is on the way to its furmily in one piece and with a un-chewed tail :o)
We didn’t want to see it hurt. It deserves a fighting chance.
What a precious baby! So happy the Peeps transitioned it to what is. Hopefully safer place!
Actually, they didn’t move it-they put the rocks back in place so the lizard is back home. It will be too big for that place as it grows and it will leave on its terms.
No No No you have it all wrong ~ that is not Lizzie for
Lizzie Borden had an axe
She gave her mother 40 whacks,
When she saw what she had done
she gave her father 41.
That is Kizzie for every animal at you home has to have the letter K to start there name.
Sweet William The Scot
No, Kizzie is my nickname. The “K” thing is right. We call the peeps “Krackpot” and “Krazy”. We’ll have to try again, “Kizzie” is mine.
We are not fans of lizards, snakes, or salamanders. Mom has a huge problem with them too. She made the funniest sound the last time she encountered a snake.
This little one is only 5cm long, including the tail and doesn’t eat peeps or dogs.
Our Little Bit does the same thing. She loves these lizards and chases them whenever she can. It’s her entertainment. Bless their hearts.
Have a woof woof day. My best to your wonderful mom. ☺
Kali will tear down a stone wall to get to one.
Kali has good taste in Kritters. Yum!
All kritters are Kali’s. That’s just the way it is.
As it should be. Ta Dum.
Cooool!! I’ve never seen one of those in the skins! I’ll keep my eyes open..they look like funs!
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
They’re quicker than bubbles.
Aw, sweet. Any chance it’ll come back for visits or did Kali make sure the message conveyed was not particularly welcoming?
Since the peeps put the rocks back in their place, we suspect it went back home.
I like lizards! Iguanas, geckos, salamanders, chameleons…yes! Sweet. Thanks so much for sharing. 🙂
And they’re useful-eating bugs.
As long as it doesn’t get inside, we are all for lizards!
We don’t want it inside either-the tarantulas might eat it.
hmm… not a fan of lizards here but we wish lizzie peace! 😛
