Around last weekend, Kaci started to pee inside. She also peed frequently. On Saturday morning, she saw the v-e-t about this and was diagnosed with Urinary Tract Infection. She was given Clavamax to take. The supply we were given runs out early next week but the Clavamax hasn’t seemed to have any effect. If there’s nothing by Tuesday, it’s back to the (shhhhh) v-e-t.

Corky used to have constant UTI’s. It would go away and return all of the time. It was suggested that I give her a urinary acidifier on a daily basis. It never came back again.
I’ll google it-I hope it works for Kaci like it did for Corky.

Cranberry juice lowers the pH of the urine, making it more acidic. Fall back on Grandma’s old home cure. It has the potential effect on the ability of some types of bacteria to stick to the bladder wall. Yes Lee has used it on her pets and she drinks it herself. Cheap and worth a try. Ouch Kaci ~ we feel for you.

Yeah, but the problem is that the vets has other things to deal with. This weekend, the vet is moving the “pracitce” (love that term, when do they get it right?) ten miles away (that’s 16 km in Oz). I’m not gonna get 100% attention.
I have been through that very same thing! Hope you feel better! Otherwise they’ll take another sample and give you some other pills. I am convalescing myself! Had some insides taken away so I don’t bring any more knuckleheads in the world. Now I can’t run or swim for 2 weeks! That’ll drive em crazy! Me too!

Kaci I hope that evil UTI runs away soon and the clavamox will help you to chase all that sickies away from you. We used it for one of the huskies but unfortunately it wasn’t good for the stomach (puke-pawty) and we switched to baytril. I cross my paws that it works for you and you haven’t to seen that vet-guy again. POTP, hugs&kisses :o)
Since it was Saturday, it was the vet-girl. I’m without a vet until Tuesday-the entire office is moving about 7 miles (12km) south.
Oh no! What an uncomfortable state of affairs. We send sympathy, scritches, and hopes that the meds kick in. She is such a precious. You can see she doesn’t feel up to speed.

Get Well Soon. Perhaps you need to make an appointment at the Ainsley Institute of Advanced Scientific Studies, a Division of Angus Fala Worldwide Enterprises? My team of crackhead scientists are doing wonderful things in nutrition and UTIs. I have personally found that a healthy dosage of rancid raw baby bunny meat will cure about anything that ails the common dog.
Bunnies we have in abundance and the peeps don’t let us at them. They won’t let us at the lizards, tarantulas or snakes either. Perhaps you can send me a scientific report about the usefulness of any of these to treat UTI.
