I went to visit a married couple that I know and after spending 20 minutes with them, I decided that considering to be in a relationship again was stupid. All they did was fight and argue. My neighbors vacated there house stuck the mortgage company and stuck it to their birds. Yep they freed them ~ I got their cage off of the curb and cleaned it and I have it sitting on a chair in my backyard. They fly in to feed because we are feeding them but we cannot figure out how to capture them. The wild birds are picking on them.
If I get them one can be your boyfriend because they are handsome birds. You can date me.

OK, I can understand having life problems. I can’t understand completely abandoning those whom you took on voluntarily. There is a colony of my kind in New York City, and I imagine they or their ancestors have been abandoned. They’ve survived the winters despite being tropical birds. A lot of abandoned pets aren’t so lucky. The peeps took on Kali, she had been turned in after 2 days for being “wild”. That’s what they wanted-a terrier. She was wild, but soon figured out that she was “home”. Did I mention that she’s smart? She’s great and it’s our gain.
It’s about time, and it’s about time you got that boyfriend!!

We in the Midwest are seeing this repeatedly! And it sucks for all the pitties that need that money going to them.

A group is a collection of individuals of like minds. This group stuck by the three day limit even though they couldn’t get a vet to read the microchip on Easter weekend (they didn’t try very hard). Why wouldn’t they be overjoyed to return a dog to the place of happiness? Isn’t putting a dog in a great situation their mission and nothing would be greater than a reunion with loved ones. I guess there is no barrier to any group of people call themselves rescuers. I salute the volunteers that give time, money and a lot of effort into genuine rescue. As with anything human, there are fraudsters around.

Unfortunately we have a number of cases just like this one around me happening now. The rescues want to keep the great looking ones. Even a breeder in Indiana who does rescue kept one beautiful one for herself with a fight.
The little wheaten pittie that I wanted had three foster homes and did not get his forever home till he was five years old. He could have had a forever home with us now for seven years. This all happened to Lee one year before I was born.
