Kali’s resumé for the 2017 Iditarod

Kali has been in Iditarod training. After winning the Arizona Iditarod, she’s looking to race in the big one. The 2016 Iditarod is over and both winning and losing entries are looking to improve for 2017. Hire Kali, as you can see she’s eager. In Alaska, you won’t have to worry about her stopping by the rosemary bush where there’s a rabbit nest. You won’t have to worry about her looking under the bridge for lizards. She’ll more than pull her weight (which is 12 pounds or 5½ kg).

About Kismet

I'm a 16 year old Indian Ringneck parrot curmudgeon in New River, Arizona in the wild west country. If you're a sunflower seed, you're dinner.

  13. Away up in Alaska
    The state that stands alone
There’s a dog race run from Anchorage into Nome
And it’s a grueling race with a lightning pace
    Where chilly winds do wail.
Beneath the northern lights, across snow and ice
    It’s called the Iditarod Trail.
Well, give me a team and a good lead dog and a sled that’s built so fine,
And let me race those miles to Nome, one thousand forty-nine

You got those miles in you Kali?
    Sweet William The Scot

    • It’s a long way to Cincinnati,
It’s a long way to go.
It’s a long way to Cincinnati
To the sweetest Bill I know!
      Goodbye, Arizona,
      Farewell, Chase Field!
It’s a long long way to Cincinnati,
      But my heart’s right there.

  14. Awww, she’s a fierce hunter. So adorable.

Have a woof woof day Kali. My best to your peeps. 🙂

  15. She’s got skills for sure but I’m concerned about losing her in the deep snow.
