This morning was Kali’s annual shot and test day. Nothing serious but the trip. Kyla used to love sitting on her throne in the Scottiemobile and surveying her realm. Kali likes the space where peeps put their feet. The trip started with Kali in the passengers foot area
but apparently that wasn’t good enough. She had to come over to the driver’s side and inhabit that space on the driver’s side. The Scottiemobile has a manual transmission and the feet are used by the driver a lot more than with an automatic. She refused to vacate that spot and we didn’t want to be late for the vet. Eventually, it sorted itself out and everything was fine. Everything was fine at the vet also and Kali got to meet a giant Great Dane which would have scared Kaci to death. She had to be on the driver’s side on the way home but was a good girl and all worked out.
When a trip to the Dogtor is involved… One SHOULD be pawmitted to inhabit ANY space One Desires.. EVEN the Stop Go and CLUTCH space… Kismet would understand the CLUTCH needing to be well tended to… RIGHT?
But the ScottieMobile is a convertible, not a HATCHback.
BaaaaaaaWaaaah….. Kismet you are the QUEEN of Comebacks…
My best friend had a Great Dane and 9 Scotties. The Dane was terrified of the Scotties. Sophie and Shelby went to the vet yesterday too. They were in the back of the wagon. I have a stick and I couldn’t imagine driving with them under my feet.
No wonder the Dane was terrified-it was 9 against one.
The Dane weighted more than the 9 Scotties combined. They just had to look at him and he ran.
Cricket believes she should be steering the car, and has no interest in the pedals. Maybe Kali and Cricket would make one great driver (or one great accident).
KABOOOOOOOOM!
So glad to hear the vet visit was a good one and you somehow managed to get there and back safely. Does Kismet get a wellness visit too?
SQUAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWK. I don’t permit that.
Maybe Kali just thought that the Chauffeuse wasn’t going fast enough and needed some help speeding up. 🙂
The peep would have speeded up but Kali was enjoying her moment of glory,.
HEY GURL! I am so glads you had a good vettie visit! At least you gets to choose where you sit….I am tethered in the rear cab of MY truck!!! AND, there is a barrier stopping me from slobbering on Ma’s furs too! SO no fun……..
Maybe I should join you in the Scottiemobile ~ sounds like a better time! do you serve cookies for the in-flight vettie trips? I likes cookies…
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
You should join us but there are no treats until we’re home. Bummer
hehehehe my throne is mummy’s lap, glad everything went well at the vets,xx Speedy
Personally, I prefer to perch on shoulders.
So happy to hear everything worked out AND the vet trip was as good as a vet trip can be!!
Hugs, Sammy
Umm, make that the least bad that it can be.
The dogtor is no fun, but glad you’re alright!
Kali’s fine. It’s good that the Great Dane behaved himself so Kali didn’t have to take care of him.
What’s up with that ~ learning to use the pedals so one can steer the wheel while the other applies the gas for a quick getaway!
Sweet William The Scot
For a quick getaway, just flap your wings.
She just wanted to be close to mom. I understand that.
I’m glad her vet visit was a good visit.
Have a woof woof day. My best to the bird and your wonderful mom. ♥♥♥
And smooth sailing and calm seas for you.
I ride on mom’s lap because I’m scared. Mom’s jeep is a standard and when she shift it causes me to pinch her fat leaving bruises. That’s what she get for taking me to the vet or the fur stealer. Just call it a little payback. BOL
Aroo to you,
Sully
Good for you. MAKE HER PAY.
Bella ALWAYS sits on the floor in the back. She will not look out the windows….sort of makes her own crate.
Kismet, have you been sending revenge ideas to our birds? See our post.
I’ll head on over down under. Kyla used to bark at construction equipment and horses besides the normal barking at other dogs.
Congrats on a ‘pawsitive’ vet visit. Having had a dog in the past who absolutely HAD to have their big fat head blocking the rear view mirror, my sympathies. Driving is hard enough without trying to navigate clutch, brakes, and shifting around a fur-kid.
Eventually she settles down and all is OK. It takes a couple of miles.
Sam loves the ‘idea’ of going for a ride but becomes Flat Stanley on the back seat. I keep hoping he’ll get used to it, but… ;(
THAT is the sweetest picture. Look her forlorn look. She’s precious. Channeling Kyla…. Glad all went well at the dogtor’s.
Ooops. I meant “love” her forlorn look.
She certainly has a lot of Scottie in her. Kyla taught her well.
