In the Sonoran Desert, there’s a plant that is all over and this time of year turns the desert into a sea of yellow.
How did this come about? Many of you remember Kenzie, the Westie (RIP, 2012).
He’s also in our header next to Kyla (RIP 2014). There was a bush in our back yard and Kenzie loved to lift his leg and pee on it. That was the original KPB (Kenzie Pissing Bush). Because of Kenzie’s fertilizer with vitamin P, the bush went viral (was fruitful and multiplied) all over the desert . The original KPB is still alive and flowering
Now you know why our desert is covered with KPBs and the flowers are yellow.

Kenzie did a spectacular job of yellowing up the desert for sure – it’s beautiful – and I wonder if anyone else knows that it’s all because of Kenzie peeing on the KPB and causing it to “be fruitful and multiply” !! No doubt that makes Kenzie smile REALLY BIG from the Bridge……….

KBs aren’t as cuddly as Kenzie-especially baby and young Kenzie.
Our KPB’s are just flowering (known as Gorse here in the UK), but we’re gonna re-name them from now on. Kenzie will have to get a move on and head on up to the Northern hemisphere ‘cos we’re in need of the ‘P’ bit to make them flourish.
Gorse? Anyway Kenzie is at the bridge. We’re in the Old West Country of Arizona so we’re in the Northern Hemisphere.

Sam should change his diet to sunflower seeds. Guano is a great fertilizer.

BOL great story. I think every dog should have their own pissing bush. I have a pissing post which pisses mom off when I do my business on it.
