Elvis sighting

Back in April, I reported on Josephine but we have new information. Was I ever a bird brain on this one. A peep was saying hello to Josephine and Josephine’s peep came out and talked. He set us straight on “Josephine”.

  1. Josephine is a male! (How’s a bird to know?)
  2. Josephine’s real name is Elvis
  3. The horse that shares the outside space with Elvis is Casey and is blind (for you squirrels out there, that’s blind, NOT blond).
  4. Elvis is 10 years old.
  5. Elvis is a rescue (as is Casey) because Elvis’ mom rejected him and wouldn’t let him feed from her.
  6. The peep we saw, took him in and bottle fed him (every four hours).

Here’s Elvis yesterday

And to top everything, a baby picture from 10 years ago (with Casey).

All Right! Elvis is a rescue also!

  1. Oh bird brain you know by taking a look downunder. That is sad Casey is blind but to have companionship is the most important thing. Elvis has not left the coral. I knew you of all birds would have an Elvis sighting.

  2. Gosh what a pair of friends, its good they have each other,xx Speedy

  3. Elvis is the bestest … and how sweet that he gave Casey a kiss. We saw Janis Joplin as we walked around the lake, but she flipped us the berd as the mama tried to take a photo… so we can be sure it WAS actually Janis. Sadly the lord gave her not a mercedes benz just a nissan micra.

  4. I never saw a baby camel before – how precious! Thanks for the update. It warms the heart.

  5. A rescue camel…that’s a new one on us! BOL! or is that Tweet Out Loud?

  6. Both are adorable. We’re glad they have each other.

  7. Squeals on the ‘baby’ pic. Nice to see Elvis and Casey are buddies. Every rescue needs a BFF whether they have 2 or 4 legs or wings. Hey, I’m sure there are some 4 winged dragons out there who ‘could’ be friendly, right? 😀

  8. Rescues are the best! They are funny looking Scotties.

  9. Definitely a hunka hunka burnin’ camel.

  10. That’s the most handsome Elvis I’ve seen in a long time!! And I guess love really is blind… 😎

  11. Whoa! Camel! Nice to meet you, Elvis. 🙂
