Today, Kali went to the vet and had seven teeth extracted. She’s not complaining at all and taking like a true trooper. Kali, take from me, you’re just partially toothless. From personal experience being even totally toothless isn’t that bad.
SQUAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWK ON!
Wow, seven teeth! And you’re just getting on with life —what a legend!
She has been here for oversix years and asn’t a pup when she was rescued. As they say, she isn’t a spring parrot.
Awww, that must make your mouth feel ouchie, Kali. Feel better soon!
She is doing well. She is terrier tough.
we send healing weim-kisses to you and lot’s of POTP
Accepted, just as long as they’re not DIY kisses.
Just as long as ya can still eat treats.
The treats have to be soft for the next few weeks.
Ouch! Hope she’s still OK today – sometimes it takes a while before you realize the full impact of something like that. Sending POTP just in case.
Hugs, Teddy and Mom too
I’ll have to train her about living toothless.
Put them all under your pillow. You’ll get lots of treats … dog treats, not parrot treats!
And swish with a little hot toddy before bed, it works wonders …
(so sayeth Dougie Dog and his hu-mom based on personal experience with this issue)
The vet kept all the teeth.
Do you have a good toddy recipe?
Then deduct the value of the teeth from his bill! One part Southern Comfort, and
two parts Rum with cinnamon stick after you’ve warmed it … and you can always add
a cup or two more of the Southern Comfort, one can never have enough of that! Toddy up!
That’s something I don’t wanna see- a drunk terrier. Watch out!
We both know what it’s like to have some teeth removed. We have our paws crossed for you and hope you feel better soon.
Kali is surprisingly spry less than 24 hours later.
Poor baby…..Andy had 4 removed last year – one was in front. So he kinda looks like a hillbilly now. But he is much loved no matter. Feel better Kali!
I’m shocked at how well she’s doing. It’s a pleasant surprise.
So are you gumming your food guess Milkbone treats are now a thing of the past. Tell the peeps to get a Bullet Blender from Wally World Walmart.
Sweet William The Scot
They are not a thing of the past. In a few weeks she’ll be back to crunching.
Holy crap gurl! Wells, sounds like you are doin’ well ~ I concur, I thinks it’s the terrierist in you! BOL! You knows what works for recovery of the toothers?? MARGARITAS! Yuppers! Kismet can make you some…just make sure there sans the sunflower seeds! BOL! sendin’ lots of POTP your way!
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
Kali is a true terrier. Nothing fazes her except “no dinner today”.
Shelby sympathizes with you. She had a whole bunch pulled several months ago. She does have a funny smile.
It’s the Jack-O-Lantern look that’s coming back into fashion.
Kali, we’re sorry you had to lose so many teeth. We’re sure you’ll still be able to eat just fine after your mouth heals. We know that is what’s most important to terriers, BOL. XOX Lucy and Xena
Kali lives on food unlike me who lives on bird seed.
Hope she’s recovering well.
She’s a terrier and three days after, you wouldn’t’ know it.She needs to play up the sympathy card more.
I hope that Kali is doing okay and that the Tooth Fairy paid her a visit – She deserves it!!
The cheeeep vet kept the teeth and probably put them under HIS pillow.
Hello Kali… we hope you’re doing well. I did the same a whole ago. We don’t need many tooth!! (wink!)
Pinot xo
Kali is doing great. She’s rebelling at all food being soft.
