Flower friday

Here in the desert, we don’t get many flowers except at the middle of April to the middle of May.

We’ll start off with the KPB (Kenzie Pi$$ing bush) which Kenzie used to fertilize with his wet fertilizer.

Then we have the golden torch cactus which flowers a few times a year

and the huge Argentine Giant (at least the flowers are giant)

  2. That is so cool to see cactus in bloom. We have a couple of yukkas in our yard, but they don’t bloom.

  6. Great flowers. You should have bottled Kenzie’s fertilizer. That plant is still doing very well. Love your flowering cactus plants.

  8. Wow, cacti are beautiful when they bloom!
    Our Auntie has some prickly pear cacti in her garden but the only thing they are good for is bad spikes to scare off intruders ti that area, Hah!

  15. Oh, those Argentine Giant’s blooms are FABulous!! Ma doesn’t trust me around sharp thingies like cactus…she says I gots the ‘old dog’ eyes, and put my snooter where it shouldn’t be sometimes…☺
