Here in the desert, we don’t get many flowers except at the middle of April to the middle of May.
We’ll start off with the KPB (Kenzie Pi$$ing bush) which Kenzie used to fertilize with his wet fertilizer.
Then we have the golden torch cactus which flowers a few times a year
and the huge Argentine Giant (at least the flowers are giant)
Spring is a wonderful thing for sure.
Have a birdtastic day and weekend, Kismet. ♥
I’ll make an effort
That is so cool to see cactus in bloom. We have a couple of yukkas in our yard, but they don’t bloom.
Lucy must have gotten to them first
Lucy doesn’t bother the plants.
Your thorns are the best part.
Sweet William The Scot
I’m glad that someone looks at the bright side.
Such pretty cactus flowers!!
Unfortunately they”ll go away until next year.
Those Argentine giants have big flowers compared to the plant sixe,
Great flowers. You should have bottled Kenzie’s fertilizer. That plant is still doing very well. Love your flowering cactus plants.
This blog is for Kenzie but Kyla was the one that knew everyone in this house.
Isn’t nature wonderful??
Yeah, but mother nature has downsiides like squirels.
Wow, cacti are beautiful when they bloom!
Our Auntie has some prickly pear cacti in her garden but the only thing they are good for is bad spikes to scare off intruders ti that area, Hah!
It sounds like you have a squirrel problem.
Luv seeing da cactus blooms.
Me too.
They sure add some pretty spots of color!
Hugs, Teddy
That’s why we keep them around.
Some flowering jumping cholla might be a lovely addition to the garden!
SQUAAAAAAWK- no way. Have you ever got some stuck to you?
Yup. Hate that stuff. Demon cactus.
We have a few PBs at our house as well. Flowers are beautiful!
Peanut butters?
Wow that last cactus is gorgeous! Even if it is a harbinger of the heat to come. Stay cool.
Maybe I’ll summer north and be a sunbird.
those last ones are my faves, super pretty!
Mine too. They only flower once a year.
Oh, those Argentine Giant’s blooms are FABulous!! Ma doesn’t trust me around sharp thingies like cactus…she says I gots the ‘old dog’ eyes, and put my snooter where it shouldn’t be sometimes…☺
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
Don’t we all put it where it doesn’t belong sometimes?
