About

I’m Kismet-born April 15, 2008. I’m a female Indian Ringneck parrot Kyla appointed me to continue with her blog.

Kyla was a very opinionated Scottish Terrier. Born in probably a puppy mill in Guadalajara, Mexico, She was a rescue and could bark in Spanish if need be.  We permit our peeps to live with us in New River, Arizona in the Old Wild West. Kyla crossed the bridge December 17, 2014. Since she started the blog, it will always be hers and called “Kylascott”. We all miss you, Kyla.

Here’s Kaci (pronounced Casey), a rescue who spent some time in a kill shelter. She came to her forever home October 13, 2012

Also joining us January 7, 2014 is Kali who also was on death row at a kill shelter. She was rescued once before and returned because she was too energetic. She is of uncertain origin but she must have some Scottie in her because of the way she looks and acts.

This blog is dedicated to Kenzie, my best buddy, who came to live with us in March 2003 at six weeks of age and crossed the bridge October 5, 2012. Kenzie, if you can read this, we miss you and do this blog for you so you can keep up with our doings.

  1. You are very nice and sweet Scottish Terrier 😉

  2. Thank you. My peeps say I’m the best dog they’ve known. We all do wonder about Kenzie, the Westie. I can speak French, Spanish and Gaelic (Scottish, of course). I’ll have to get my peeps to translate the German, they’re both half German and the other is half-wits!

  3. Sophia says ‘hey” and hopes you had a great long weekend!

  4. Muy lindos los perritos! Estaré encantada en seguir tu blog!

  5. Hey neighbor! We are in your neck of the woods! Had to jump over and see where you were after seeing your licence plate. Honk if you see the 2 human 13 dog sticker jeep plate 2MNYK9S! If it passes you, The Crabby Man is driving. If you pass it, I’m driving. Safety first when the kids are being driven!

  6. Great to meet you, Kyla! Lots of love, Millie the Lurcher and Pearly Greyhound xx

  7. I just found your blog, and am enjoying it! Our own dogs are pugs, but we have a Scotty & 2 Highland White Terriers close by — their energy, probably like yours, is unstoppable.

If your human likes to read dog stories, check out my new blog, http://maijaharrington.com, where I’m posting chapters from my book-in-progress, “Funny Tails: Adventures and Misadventures in Living with Pugs.” It’s a humorous look at my life with our 3 pugs as well as a series of foster pugs from Pug Rescue of North Carolina. Readers tell me it’s pretty funny.

    Best wishes!
    Maija (pronounced My-uh)
