I’m joining in the Thankful Thanksgiving posts on Blogville because I want to. I really have a lot for which to be thankful.
I’m thankful for my peeps who took me in when I needed it, loved me and made my life great. I had a much better life than would have been expected from a product of a Mexican puppy mill. I’m also thankful that They rescued my sisters, Kaci and Kali who were both at one time in a kill shelter on death row.
I’m overwhelmed by you, the residents of Blogville. Two months ago, I was told that my cancer spread and that I had 1 to 6 months left. You guys came together and held the Highland Games a month ago. It’s one thing to have a tribute-it’s another to have it while you’re still around. The tears are still rolling down my beard. I really meant my thank you for that-for those who haven’t seen it yet-
I also am thankful for my boyfriend, Stuart. Who says it is too late in life to find love? I’m sorry that this post doesn’t meet my curmudgeonly standard, but it is what it is.
I’m gonna hand this over to Kismet, MY parrot. Go for it Kismet-
I don’t know why it is, but Kismet hides every Thanksgiving.
Wishing you a great Turkey Day Kyla! Tell your peeps if they cut some white meat from close to the bone under the breast, it will be low fat and far enough away from any seasonings to upset your tummy!
No way-Kismet is watching. Happy Day to you sweet 16.
Happy Thanksgiving to you, Kyla, and all your peeps.
Those crazy humans? Mahalo.
Does Kismet think he’s part turkey….BOL!
We love ya, Kyla. What can we say. We look at you everyday….well, the number place with your picture that we have hanging on the carport! Have a great Thanksgiving, girlfriend.
We love you guys (and the departed Kendra and Daisy). Kismet isn’t taking chances-better safe than stuffed.
Loved that speech – had me own tears rolling down my grey beard too! Happy Thanksgiving to you – I’m sure you can get Kaci and Kali to distract Kismet whilst you nibblle on a bit of turkey, can’t you?
Unfortunately, there’s too much fat and it could trigger another pancreatitis attack. I can’t even sneak something.
Happy Thanks Giving Kyla you are amazing!xx Speedy
We have a lot of your distant relatives all over here.
Hehehe we like to get around,xx speedy
I’m thankful that I found your blog and I’m thankful for you, the wise and beautiful scottie-lady. And I’m really thankful for every day with you. Bet your Kismet knew that my mom reads your blog and disappeared before my momma sings the “I-want-a-parrot” song in my dad’s ear :o) Happy Thanksgiving to all of you.
We love you also and hope all your recent health issues improve dramatically. Kismet says that next November and December she might visit you because you don’t have Thanksgiving in Brittany. You do celebrate Christmas and she’ practicing for that “Je ne suis pas une oie .” “Je ne suis pas une oie .” “Je ne suis pas une oie .” “Je ne suis pas une oie .” “Je ne suis pas une oie .” “Je ne suis pas une oie .” Maybe your mom doesn’t want a parrot after all.
Kyla…Thank you for being such a great furpal…thanks to your whole family for being our friends. Hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

My best to LB.
Oh poor Kimset. I bet I know why he hides, especially far far away form that kitchen area where the oven lies. Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
I can’t say that I blame her. I tread very lightly when I see a Vietnamese restaurant.
We are thankful for you, Kyla! Riley loved watching your speech, he was mesmerized. Wishing you and wonderful day with LOTS of green beans!

I got plenty of treats-all non-fat, of course. They went out to dinner at a friend’s house but didn’t take us. What’s with that?
I know Kyla, the Girls even had to stay home! Gram said there would be too much chaos with all the humans and them! Can you imagine???? Mom was not happy about that!
I just can’t gets enough of your video speech! Ma pushed play and I came a runnin’! I even barked back at you, butts I guess you weren’t taking questions….
You knows I loves you and your obsession with the greenbeans, right?! I don’t get the greenbeans, butts whatever blows your furs up! I don’t judge! BOL
I am lifting my margarita glass, and I am picturing you lifting yours (you gots the margarita I sent you, right?)…Here’s to Blogville! Cheers!

Got it and it’s raised in the direction of the South Bay.
I got left at home, too, for just a little while yesterday. But I spent my entire day thinking of you. And the girls. And Kismet. And your peeps.
aROOOOOOO! ROOOOOOO! From you pal always, Stu
We thought of you guys also. until Kaci decided to take over and lick faces incessantly and think she was sending them all the way to Virginia.
Kyla you’re a wonder – and I’m with you about having a lot to be thankful for but friends in blogville is my #1. We’re always there for each other…..it’s a nice warm feeling like a special blanket! The Highland Games were special – just like you are……………..Happy Thanksgiving.
Hugs, Sammy
p.s. I think Kismet is smart……very……
She’s a survivor. The peeps think that “bird brain” means stupid. Kismet likes the peeps to think that. Kismet gets Them every time.
We are grateful for you too Kyla!!!
Alyssa, Mr. Fox & Scruffy
Despite the wind blowing easterly, my good wishes for you will get west from here.
I know all too well those feelings of gratitude your family has right now that Kyla has gotten to enjoy Thanksgiving with those that love her the most!
For me, when I look back over the year of the new friends that I’m thankful to have gotten to know, you all come right to my mind. I’ve enjoyed getting to know you, and have appreciated your friendship, and always kind, thoughtful and supportive and fun comments on my blog that have made me laugh when I needed it, and have reminded me that I’m not alone. Just as you are not.
I hope you had a good Thanksgiving, and are enjoying your weekend too!!
Thanks. You bring some sanity into my life.
Kismet is thankful you’re around to do the honours without him š
Kyla – We are so very thankful to have you in our lives, too! You were one of our first friends when we started Scottie Mom. We look forward to each and every one of your posts. Hope you and your family had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Much love, The Scottie Mom.
