Unlike some unfortunates on the other side of town (see the videos in the links in yesterday’s post if you haven’t already), we suffered no real damage. The house across the road and two doors down suffered a collapse of a section of their block fence. Nobody was hurt and the horse was removed OK-you can see the corral. Sorry about the picture quality, I didn’t have the heart to ask the neighbor’s permission to take pictures from his back yard. To get these, you had to go through a lot of mud and there’s a water filled ravine blocking the way.
You re in the PHOENIX Area, RIGHT??? We saw some of this flooding on the Nightly NEWS last night… and though of you. THAT is so sad. Mother Nature is a Wonderful thing… until he goes CRAZY.
We are glad that YOU are safe and suffered only minimal damage…
So Sorry for those less fortunate though.
Worse than that-we’re in New River which got the worst of it.
I’m so glad you are ok, I saw it in the news last night and I thought of you and the run a muck kids.
RanchRunAmuck reported in safe and sound. They’re about four miles away but not in New River. ranchrunamuck.wordpress.com. They have horses, cats, and 14 rescue dogs that nobody else wants. They wanted to go hiking this weekend (I would have sent Kaci this time) but we’re booked up this weekend.
I’m glad they are safe too. Thanks for the information :o)
Hope your frog is ok too, hope she found a safe place :O)
Looks like a nasty storm, glad you guys came out unscathed.
We did a back yard inspection and there are some sink holes that need filling. We’ll show those soon.
Your area made it on the news in Florida. We hope that everything resolves itself soon.
It’s bright and sunny today. We’re unaccustomed to the humidity but we’ll suffer through it. It’s 82F 28C right now but the humidity is 59% instead of the normal 5%.
I’m glad you’re okay too. That’s a lot of water.
Have a fabulous day. scritches to the babies. 🙂
We’re drying out, that’s certain. As far as I know, there’s been no calls for help but I’m listening.
You have a horse two doors down WOW! Glad you did not float down New River to Old River. Stay Safe.
Sweet William The SWcot
This is horse country. No sense having stop lights, horses don’t care.
Lee’s Grandmother use to stable horses for the Lebanon Track. One horse Lee loved to see come was call Keenashaw. With the K name it would have fit right in. Kyla you need to get a horse!!!
SWTS
You know, you’re not the first one to tell me that. Everytime I drive the Scottiemobile, everyone yells at me “Get a Horse!”.
yikes! those were some scary videos! Glad that you and yours are a-okay, Kyla!
Edgar and his mum
We’re very thankful. It was on the other side of town.
Gosh glad you are all OK over there. Hope the rains stop soon. Stay safe now.
Best wishes Molly
That’s one thing about the desert-it’s bright and sunny today.
Yeah, I saw it all overs the news, and Ma was goin’ I sure hopes Kyla and her pack are okay! Butts, since I didn’t see a black & grey Scottie swimmin’ for the hills, I knew that you guys were more than likely okays. Thanks for the update! And I hopes everyone dries out soon!
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
I’ve dried out, but I’m HUNGRY.
When we lived in Utah we often camped at Lake Pleasant so we can relate to the New River area. That was some nasty storm weather! Flash floods are scary stuff.
One of our alternate routes to everything is Lake Pleasant Road-a no go yesterday.
Glad ya didn’t have to go swimmin or nuffin.
It would have been too much for even you.
So glad y’all are okay and didn’t get swept away in the floods. But you might want to get out the lifejackets and have them handy.
Aroo to you,
Sully
I actually have a life jacket!
That’s good that you guys are ok
Wags
Jazzi
We definitely agree!
We’re relieved that you are all ok and that the rain has (hopefully) stopped.
Wally & Sammy
There’s a little more for today but not like Tuesday.
Glad you gals are doing ok with the extra water. Hopefully Karma the frog will make an appearance so we know he’s ok too.
Alyssa, Mr. Fox & Scruffy
That frog only appears at certain times. If we saw it now, something would be wrong. It takes care of itself very nicely.
Does that mean you have a lot of gardening to do??
A bit, but not that much because most of our place is natural.
